Workshop on Ichnotaxonomy - III. Abstract Book
2006 - English
The conference and its contributions covered by the Abstract Book were focused namely on treatment of eggs as specific case of “substrate” or “clasts”, boundary of fossil and recent material, position of micromprphology among the already well-established ichnotaxobases, classification of trackways, taphonomic problems, acceptability of “substrate-crossing” ichnogenera, treatment of bioturbate structures made by plants, and treatment of size as an ichnotaxobase.

Abstract Book 4th International Bioerosion Workshop
2004 - English
Forty-four international contributions on bioerosion from the fossil record and from modern settings show that the first intensively bioturbated substrates were carbonate hardgrounds, soon followed by carbonate bioclasts. By the end of Paleozoic, wood bioerosion starts to take place; marine bioerosion in lithic substrates have much diversified during the Cretaceous and Cenozoic. The set of extended abstracts also shows increasing interest on mammals as tracemakers, and on bioerosion on non-marine settings. Čtyřicet čtyři reprezentativních příspěvků o bioerozi v geologickém záznamu i v současných prostředích dokumentuje, že prvními pevnými substráty, které byly v geologické minulosti Země kolonizovány, byly karbonátové hardgroudy. Brzy poté byly osídlovány i větší karbonátové bioklasty. Koncem prvohor se začala v nevelké míře uplacovat strategie osídlování dřevitých substrátů. Mořská bioeroze v litických substrátech se velmi zintenzívnila rozrůznila během druhohor a třetihor. Sebrané příspěvky dokumentují dále zvyšující se zájem o bioerozi v nemořských prostředích a o erozivní struktury působené obratlovci

Geologický záznam bioeroze v České republice zahrnuje velkou část geologické časové škály, různé typy prostředí a různé substráty. Zvláštní zmínku zasluhují mikroskopické vrtby v pravděpodobných svrchnoproterozoických stromatolitech, navrtané bioklasty silurského a devonského stáří, devonské a karbonské hardgroundy a rockgroundy, ojedinělé vrtby ve dřevě permského stáří, jurské transgresivní a útesové facie, spodnokřídová skalnatá dna karpatské oblasti, svrchnokřídová skalnatá pobřeží, bioklasty a dřevo v platformním pokryvu Českého masivu, některé facie karpatské předhlubně a Vídeňské pánve a konečně archeologická naleziště, která poskytují záznam bioeroze současný se stopami lidské činnosti Geological record of bioerosion of the Czech Republic represents a great stratigraphic range, variety of settings and diverse substrates. We have to mention microborings in the probable Late Proterozoic stromatolites, bored bioclasts of the Silurian and Devonian, Devonian and Carboniferous hardgrounds and rockgrounds, rare wood borings in the Permian deposits (Bohemian Massif), Jurassic transgressive and reef facies, Early Cretaceous rockgrounds (Carpathians), Upper Cretaceous bored rockgrounds, bioclasts and wood (Bohemian Massif), Cenozoic borings in wood, leaves, fruit stones and bones (Bohemian Massif), bioclasts and rockgrounds of the Miocene bottom and sedimentary fill of the Carpathian Foreland and the Vienna Basin. Several Pleistocene and Holocene archaeological sites contain the record of animal and plant bioerosion coupled with the human activity.
