From Denunciation to Humour. Forms of Attacks by Preachers on non-Roman Catholic Believers in selected Czech Sunday Postils

This paper deals with forms of attacks on protestants in bohemical sermons mainly in second half of 17th Century and first half of 18th Century. Although counter reformation has definitely changed confessional conditions in Bohemia after victory on White Mountain battle, protestants persisted as one of most dangerous and strange enemy of pure faith. This attitude aimed mainly to Czech speaking believers and has been persuasively repeated in a lot of deeply influential homiletic works, namely in postils (in Sunday as well as in Feast ones). The aim of paper is inspect the most important Czech Sunday postils and evaluate frequency, strategy and forms of attacks. Excerpted postils were written by Š. Berlička-Scipio, M. V. Štajer, K. Račín, Š. F. Náchodský, F. Veselý, A. Koniáš etc. Some of these postils were clearly published as „a tool“ of strict counter reformation (M. V. Štajer, A. Koniáš), thus shape of their attitudes to protestants should be interesting. Other postils were composed as a manifestation of a moderate process of the counter reformation (F. Veselý); finally, we can find authors with really peculiar way of literary form and type of persuasion as well (Š. F. Náchodský). UNICELLULAR ALGA CHLORELLA AS A FEED SUPPLEMENT, CURRENT EXPERIENCE AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES

We studied the effect of Chlorella biomass as a feed supplement. In laying hens we found that diet supplemented with 1 % (i.e. 10 g/kg) of dry disintegrated heterotrophically grown Chlorella biomass significantly increased content of carotenoids in egg yolks of 8 experimental animals already after the first week of supplementation (P<0,01). Compared to 8 control hens these differences remained significantly higher until the end of the eight-week experiment. The average carotenoid concentration was 17,3 mu g per g of yolk in control group and 25,3 mu g per g of yolk in experimental animals (P<0,01). Autotrophically grown Chlorella was supplemented to the 30 gilts one month prior the expected first heat in a dose of 1,5 g per animal per day. These sows entered heat earlier and the number of pregnancy was higher in comparison to the 30 control animals. Other studies observed digestibility of selenium organically bound in Se-enriched Chlorella. The level of selenium in blood, colostrum and also tissues of new born piglets was determined. Group of 8 sows was supplemented with Se-enriched alga during the pregnancy and 3 days after parturition at a dose of 0,3 mg of selenium per 1 kg of feed. The same amount of selenium in the form of sodium selenite was administrated to the control group of 8 individuals. Organic form of selenium significantly increased concentration of Se in blood of sows and colostrum (P<0,05). Piglets born to supplemented sows had also significantly higher level of Se in heart, muscles and liver (P<0.01). The use of fresh Chlorella biomass produced outdoors on a dairy farm was experimentally tested. The liquid fresh biomass applied to dairy cows during the pregnancy at a dose of 15 g dry mass per cow increased the dry matter content in colostrum from 17,5 g per 100 ml of colostrum in control group to 20,5 g per 100 ml of colostrum in supplemented cows (P<0,05). V listopadovém výzkumu byla zjišťována priorita, kterou by podle respondentů měly mít jednotlivé oblasti sociální politiky při financování ze státního rozpočtu. V tomto případě měli respondenti z deseti vybraných oblastí sestavit pořadí, přičemž na první místo měli zařadit tu, kterou považují za nejdůležitější, a na desáté místo umístit tu, kterou považují za nejméně důležitou. November research focused on priorities in funding of some individual areas of social policy from the state budget. Respondents should sort ten selected areas of social policy from the most important area to the least important area for them. Citizens perceive as the top priority the area of healthcare, followed by pensions and social security in sickness or in case of injury. Občané o odsunu a Benešových dekretech – listopad 2016

V listopadovém reprezentativním šetření se CVVM SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., věnovalo problematice poválečného odsunu sudetských Němců a tzv. Benešových dekretů, jež kromě jiného vytvořily právní rámec odsunu. Šetření konkrétně zjišťovalo, zda občané pokládají poválečný odsun sudetských Němců za spravedlivý, nebo nespravedlivý, zda by podle veřejnosti Benešovy dekrety měly platit i nadále, nebo zda by měly být zrušeny, a zda a jak ovlivňují vztahy s okolními zeměmi, tj. Německem, Rakouskem, Polskem, Slovenskem a Maďarskem. In November survey Public Opinion Research Centre asked respondents some questions concerning decrees of the President Edvard Benes. Currently 43% respondents share the opinion that Benes decrees should continue to be in force, 12% stood up for their cancellation, and 45% had no opinion on this issue. Another question focused on the post-war transfer of Sudeten Germans from Czech borderland in 1945-6. 37% of respondents considered this historical act to be just. On the contrary 38% marked the transfer as unjust (simultaneously majority of them claimed necessity to make a thick line behind the past) and 25 % had no opinion on this. Evaluation of thin discontinuities in planar conducting materials using the diffraction of electromagnetic field

The current stage of nondestructive evaluation techniques imposes the development of new electromagnetic (EM) methods that are based on high spatial resolution and increased sensitivity. In order to achieve high performance, the work frequencies must be either radifrequencies or microwaves. At these frequencies, at the dielectric/conductor interface, plasmon polaritons can appear, propagating between conductive regions as evanescent waves. In order to use the evanescent wave that can appear even if the slits width is much smaller that the wavwelength of incident EM wave, a sensor with metamaterial (MM) is used. The study of the EM field diffraction against the edge of long thin discontinuity placed under the inspected surface of a conductive plate has been performed using the geometrical optics principles. This type of sensor having the reception coils shielded by a conductive screen with a circular aperture placed in the front of reception coil of emission reception sensor has been developed and 'transported' information for obtaining of magnified image of the conductive structures inspected. This work presents a sensor, using MM conical Swiss roll type that allows the propagation of evanescent waves and the electromagnetic images are magnified. The test method can be successfully applied in a variety of applications of maxim importance such as defect/damage detection in materials used in automotive and aviation technologies. Applying this testing method, spatial resolution can be improved. Crack initiation in austenitic stainless steel sanicro 25 subjected to thermomechanical fatigue

Thermomechanical fatigue experiments were performed with austenitic stainless Sanicro 25 steel. Several amplitudes of mechanical strain in a wide temperature interval (250-700 °C) were applied to the specimens. Mechanical response was recorded and fatigue lives were obtained. Scanning electron microscopy combined with FIB technique was used to study the mechanism of crack initiation in in-phase and in out-of-phase thermomechanical cycling. Different mechanisms of the crack initiation were found in these two types of loading. During in-phase loading fatigue cracks start in grain boundaries by cracking of the oxide. Cracks grew preferentially along grain boundaries which resulted in rapid crack initiation and low fatigue life. In out-of-phase loading multiple cracks perpendicular to the stress axis developed only after sufficiently thick oxide layer was formed and cracked in low temperature loading half-cycle. The cracks in oxide allowed localized repeated oxidation and finally also cracking. The cracks grow transgranularly and result in longer fatigue life. Lifetime Assessment of Particulate Ceramic Composite with Residual Stresses

A micro-crack propagation in particulate ceramic based composite was studied using finite element method (FEM). Subcritical crack growth (SCG) was numerically simulated under complex load conditions (mechanical loading and loading by internal residual stresses). The effect of residual stresses on the crack propagation was studied. Two-dimensional computational model of particulate ceramic composite with material properties corresponding to low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) was developed. The results indicate that the presence of residual stresses significantly reduces values of stress intensity factor in the vicinity of composite surface and the direction of residual stresses around the particles contributes to the micro-crack deflection from the particles. The time to failure of the composite under mechanical loading was determined. Results obtained contribute to a better understanding of the role of residual stresses during micro-crack propagation in ceramic particulate composites.
