2012 - Czech Příspěvek charakterizuje úsilí a aktivity prvního profesora historické vlastivědy Josefa Vítězslava Šimáka (1870–1941) vedoucí k založení regionálních vlastivědných periodik, a to jak v rovině teoretické, resp. metodické (v kontextu jeho pojetí historické vlastivědy), tak v rovině praktické (konkrétní časopisy Šimákova rodného kraje: Od Ještěda k Troskám, Boleslavan, Sborník okresu železnobrodského, Lomnicko nad Popelkou, Bezděz, Krkonoše). Problematiku sleduje od 90. let 19. století do konce Šimákova života. The contribution describes effort and activities of the first Professor of historical homeland study Josef Vítězslav Šimák (1870-1941), which led to establishing regional history periodicals, both in theory and metodology or in practice (particular periodicals of Šimák´s home region such as Od Ještěda k Troskám, Boleslavan, Sborník okresu železnobrodského, Lomnicko nad Popelkou, Bezděz, Krkonoše). The contribution covers the period since the 1890s until Šimák´s death. Emigration of Scholars in Documents

2011 - English The contribution deals with the source base to the problems of emigration of Czech scientists at the turn of 1960s and 1970s. It analyses documents related to the decision making processes at the level of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and consequently of the Presidium of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAS), where there are described from the regime’s point of view "undesirable phenomena", such as illegal departures of scientists abroad or their non-returning, influence of propaganda, overestimation of the "Western" economic motivations, etc. The documents contain proposals of resolving the situation including specification of the particular tasks. Implementation of the accepted steps and its impact is demonstrated by other documents coming from the different CSAS institutes. 2011 - Czech Příspěvek shrnuje ideové a politické postoje i konkrétní politickou činnost Viktora Dyka od počátku 20. století do jeho smrti v roce 1931. Snaží se ukázat specifičnost jeho nacionalismu, vyznačujícího se výrazným mravním fundamentem i kritikou do řad vlastního národa a postulujícího náročný, maximalistický národně politický program, a stručně se zastavuje u podstaty Dykových sporů a polemik s T. G. Masarykem. The contribution sums up the ideological and political attitudes and the actual political activity of Viktor Dyk from the beginning of the 20th century to his death in 1931. It attempts to show the specificity of his nationalism which was significant for its strong morale foundation and for the criticism towards his own nation, which also postulated a demanding national-political program of maximum possible. It briefly looks into essential of the differences and controversies between Dyk and T. G. Masaryk. The contribution deals with the latest publications of German and Czech historians (e.g. Kurt A. Huber, Daniel Langhans, Rainer Bendel, Rudolf Grulich, Emil Valasek, Ines Luft, Jaroslav Šebek and others) on the issue of Sudeten German catholicism in the years 1918-1945, i.e. on the formation of its modern identity and distinctive spirituality, on the development of its modern religious and political institutions and on the perceptions of national issues in general, from the early 1930s primarily of the German national socialism.
