Studie interpretuje romaneto Jakuba Arbesa Poslední dnové lidstva (1895) na základě motivu katastrofy. Mimo cenzurní epizodu, jež postihla publikaci prvního sešitu, se zaměřuje zvláště na tematické prvky textu spojené s motivy zkázy, zániku, neštěstí. Jejím cílem je mj. postihnout v textu uplatněnou narativní metodu, jež zahrnuje fragmentaci zápletky, paralelnost několika časových rovin či subjektivizaci vyprávěného do mysli několika protagonistů a nevylučuje ani sebeklam autorského ich-vypravěče. The author of this paper interprets Jakub Arbes’s romanetto Poslední dnové lidstva (Last Days of Mankind) by focusing on the motif of disaster. Rather marginal to his main interest is the episode of censorship when the work was first being published, with the confiscation of a package of the first part, which showed the disaster also affected the residence of the Czech governor Thun. The main objective of this study is to understand the narrative method, which is key to understanding the text and includes the fragmentization of the plot, working with several time zones, a relatively small number of protagonists (the narrator, the priest and the madwoman), fantasy elements, the psychologism that was so popular at that time and intentionally unexplained phenomena. Moreover, the events depicted in Arbes’s book may be a mystification or the self-delusion of the subjective authorial narrator.

Dès avant que la langue ne fût investie par les programmes de l’éveil national, elle le fut par les acteurs de la publication pédagogique selon trois aspects. Tout d’abord, la question de la langue révéla les contradictions entre deux principes de la diffusion de l’alphabétisation : la nécessité de s’adapter aux élèves d’un côté et l’effort d’uniformité de l’autre. Publier des manuels en allemand ou en tchèque devint ensuite pour les acteurs locaux du marché du livre un enjeu économique qui exacerba leur confrontation aux autorités centrales qui cherchèrent à appliquer une centralisation absolue des processus de décision et de production des manuels. Le fait de publier des manuels en tchèque conduisit enfin leurs auteurs à tenter une première normalisation de la langue, bien avant que ne soient forcés de le faire les linguistes érudits. Before language entered the program of national movement in Bohemia, it was at the core of pedagogical publishing. The issue of the language first revealed a contradiction between two leading principles of the Maria-Theresa’s reform aiming at a diffusion of literacy: the necessity to adapt to pupils on the one hand, the effort to reach out uniformization of schooling on the other hand. Publishing textbooks in Czech became then an economic issue that fostered rivalries between local (Bohemian) actors and central authorities who thrived for a strict centralized publishing and decision making. Finally, printing and publishing school books in Czech led their author to attempt a first normalisation of the transcription of Czech language, far before linguists were forced to do so.

Poznámky ke Güntherově vydání Melanchthonovy latinské gramatiky

Příspěvek pojednává o rajhradském exempláři Melanchthonovy latinské gramatiky, který\nvznikl v Günterově prostějovské tiskárně ante quem 1560. Ze srovnání s první známou, kompletně dochovanou a především datovanou edicí z roku 1560 i s dalšími známými exempláři, o nichž jsme pojednali již v roce 2012, je patrné, že se jedná o první fázi adaptace této gramatiky u nás a edice z roku 1560 je její rozvinutější a dopracovaná verze. Edice rajhradského exempláře se ovšem stala předlohou pro patisk vzešlý z pražské Melantrichovy tiskárny v 60. letech 16. století. The present paper focuses on the Rajhrad copy of Melanchthon’s Latin Grammar which\noriginated in Günther’s printing works in Prostějov ante quem 1560. Comparison with the first known fully preserved and, above all, dated edition from 1560 as well as with other known copies described by us already in 2012 will reveal we are dealing with the first local adaptation of this grammar and the 1560 edition represents its more detailed and completed version. Rajhrad edition then served as a model for unauthorized reprint originating in the Melantrich’s printing works in the 1560s.

Příspěvky obsažené v tomto sborníku pojednávají o způsobech a formách performativity v české literatuře s válečnou tematikou. Zabývají se jak performativitou v rámci textu/díla samého (jejím procesem a jejími prostředky), tak díly s válečnou tematikou, která implikují takovéto strategie rodu/genderu a jazyka, jakož i performativitou v rámci interpretace textu/díla: čtenářskou recepcí a především pak širokou oblastí reprezentace literatury s tématem války ve filmu, na divadle apod.

Studie je založena na kvantitativní a kvalitativní analýze vědeckých historiografických publikací od 80. let 18. do 40. let 19. století, které zachycují vývoj žánru dedikace v této době. Interpretace pramenů se opírá o koncepci loajality jako sociálního kódu, který vytváří reciproční vztah mezi autorem, společenskou autoritou či mecenášem a veřejností. Kód proto slouží jako prostředek vyjednávání vztahů mezi všemi těmito aktéry. The study is based on quantitative as well as qualitative research on nonfiction published between the 1780s and the 1840s, which captures how the genre of dedications developed over time. The source materials are interpreted in reference to a concept of loyalty that understands it as a social code that creates a reciprocal relationship between the autor, a social authority or patron, and the public. The code therefore serves as a means of negotiating the mutual positions of all three actors.
