Generativity in young adulthood: Pilot study

2016 - Czech Generativity as creativity, productivity, and care for other people or transmitting values to future generations is an important developmental task that should be completed during adulthood. Young adulthood is very important for its development since some aspects may reach its peak just at the beginning of adulthood. The aim of the research was to gain insight into generativity in young adulthood in the context of other personality characteristics. Sample consisted of 54 university students (24 women, average age 21.4 years) who completed the online questionnaire: LGS - generative concern, GBC - generative behavior, Gen-Current – generativity structure, Inventory of the Dimensions of Emerging Adulthood, Social SOC Questionnaire, and Self-Concept Clarity Scale. Generativity - Current Questionnaire has been used in the sample of young adults for the first time. It describes social, cultural, technical and environmental generativity. Factor analysis (varimax rotation) did not confirm the existence of these types as individual factors. Correlation analysis revealed a relationship between generativity and experimentation/possibilities, self-focus (LGS and Gen-Current), other-focus (Gen-Current), /nand social self-regulation (GBC, Gen-Current). For self-concept clarity was confirmed no significant relationship. We have not identified any gender differences in generativity. The strongest predictor of generativity was social self-regulation (generative concern), experimentation/possibilities (generative action) and self-focus (generativity structure). Generativita jako tvořivost, produktivita, péče o druhé lidi a předávání hodnot dalším generacím je důležitým vývojovým úkolem, který by měl být naplněn v dospělosti. Pro její rozvoj je důležitá mladá dospělost a dokonce některé složky mohou dosahovat svého vrcholu právě na začátku dospělosti. Cílem výzkumu bylo získat vhled do generativity vmladé dospělosti v kontextu dalších osobnostních charakteristik. Soubor tvořilo 54 studentů VŠ (24 žen, průměrný věk 21,4 let), kteří vyplnili online dotazníky: LGS - generativní zájem, GBC /n- generativní jednání, Gen-Current - struktura generativity, Inventory of the Dimensions of Emerging Adulthood, Dotazník sociální selekce, optimalizace a kompenzace a Self-Concept Clarity Scale. Dotazník aktuální generativity byl u mladých dospělých použit poprvé. Popisuje sociální, kulturní, technickou a ekologickou generativitu. Faktorová analýza (rotace varimax) nepotvrdila existenci těchto typů jako samostatných faktorů. Korelační analýza odhalila vztah mezi generativitou a experimentováním, zaměřením na sebe (pouze LGS a /nGen-Current) a ostatní (Gen-Current) a sociální seberegulaci (GBC, Gen-Current). U jasnosti sebepojetí se žádné významné vztahy nepotvrdily. Genderové rozdíly v generativitě jsme nezjistili. Nejvýznamnějším prediktorem generativity byla sociální seberegulace (generativní zájem), experimentování (generativní jednání) a zaměření na sebe (struktura generativity). Developing a method for assessment of social cognition

2016 - Czech Conducting ourselves accordingly in varying social situations demands sophisticated socio-cognitive capacities. Developing our nderstanding of such faculties demands tools that allow us to delineate them into their constituent social and emotional components. This is true particularly of empathy, believed to comprise a cognitive and affective component. The Multifaceted Empathy Test (MET) is used increasingly to investigate empathic awareness and expression. It is a picture-based/nmeasure designed to measure the dissociable cognitive and affective components of empathy independently. Currently, however, there exists no formal validation of the MET in the Czech Republic. To address this gap, this presentation describes the process be/nhind stimulus selection, item development, and validation according to the subjective evaluations of Czech and Slovak sample. /nWe believe that the resulting stimulus set will prove useful for future socio-cognitive and -emotion research. Přiměřené chování v různých sociálních situacích vyžaduje sofistikované socio-kognitivní schopnosti. Prohloubení našich znalostí o těchto schopnostech vyžaduje nástroje, které nám umožní jejich rozřazení do jednotlivých sociálních a emočních složek. To platí zejména pro empatii, která podle dosavadních předpokladů obsahuje kognitivní a afektivní složku. Multifacetový test empatie (MET) se stále častěji využívá ve výzkumu empatického uvědomění a chování. Jedná se o metodu založenou na vizuálních podnětech, která umožňuje /nměře ní zvlášť kognitivní a afektivní složky empatie. Tato metoda však v České republice nebyla doposud /nformálně validizovaná. V tomto příspěvku popisujeme naše snahy vyvinout českou verzi MET – proces výběru/npodnětového materiálu, vývoj položek a validizaci na základě evaluace vzorku české a slovenské populace. /nVěříme, že výsledná podnětová sada bude na poli budoucího socio-kognitivního a socio-afektivního výzkumu užitečná. Blending within the neologism excerption database

2015 - Czech This paper focuses on blending as a type of mechanical compounding. The researched material results from the internal neologism excerption database of the current lexicology and lexicography department of ÚJČ AV ČR v. v. i. (Institute of the Czech Language of the AS CR, v. v. i.), whose lexical content arises by excerption of mainly journalistic texts. The paper presents the types of lexemes arised from blending, which is found in the database. The formation and processing of neologism material in the database are based on these examples. The material is classified according to the formation to blends of the Czech and foreign-language components, hybrid blends, blends of proper names and geographical names and the unclassifiable puns. The material is analyzed in terms of semantic and by occurrence of lexemes in specific types of text. Příspěvek se zaměřuje na blending jakožto jeden z typů mechanického skládání slov. Zkoumaný materiál vychází z interní neologické excerpční databáze oddělení současné lexikologie a lexikografie ÚJČ AV ČR v. v. i., jejíž lexikální obsah vzniká excerpcí převážně publicistických textů. V příspěvku jsou uvedeny typy lexémů vzniklých blendingem, jež se v databázi vyskytují. Na základě těchto příkladů je představen vznik a zpracování neologického materiálu v databázi. Materiál je klasifikován podle vzniku na blendy z českých a cizo jazyčných komponentů, blendy hybridní, blendy z vlastních jmen a geografických názvů a na nezařaditelné slovní hříčky. Materiál je analyzován z hlediska sémantického a dle výskytu lexémů v konkrétních druzích textu. Experience with Using EIR for Research Evaluation

2015 - Czech This post introduces basic applications of electronic information resources for research evaluation in terms of bibliometrics, ie quantitative methods of data analysis. Current research information systems (CRIS) and commercial citation databases contain information useful for evaluating individual scientists, scientific institutions and organizations, but also the entire scientific disciplines or regions in the global comparison. Information obtained by the analysis of stored data – bibliographic records or citation relationships between them can say something about the evaluated unit rated in terms of numbers of scientific impact and partly quality (measured by citation rate) of various kinds of scientific results and their share in domestic or global production. The most interesting information can be provided by citation data. It is also possible to focus on research field or current topics by keywords analysis. We can get a view on international network of scientists by analyzing the author's coope­ration. Příspěvek představí základní možnosti využití elektronických informačních zdrojů pro hodnocení vědy z hlediska bibliometrie. Informační systémy CRIS a komerční citační databáze obsahují informace využitelné pro hodnocení jednotlivých vědců, vědeckých pracovišť a organizací, ale i celých vědních oborů nebo regionů v rámci světového porovnání. Informace získané analýzou uložených dat – bibliografických záznamů, případně citačních vazeb mezi nimi mohou vypovídat o postavení hodnocené jednotky z hlediska počtu, vědeckého ohlasu a částečně i kvality (měřené citovaností) jednotlivých druhů vědeckých výsledků a jejich podíl na domácí, světové produkci. Nejzajímavější informace mohou poskytnout právě data o citačních vazbách. Dále je možné sledovat oborové zaměření či přímo aktuální témata pomocí analýzy klíčových slov. 2015 - Czech The paper points out the old Czech translation of the collection of Judgments from Brno and Jihlava, whose lexical value lies in the fact that there exist glosses and interpretations of individual words, translations of German and Latin terms, terminological synonymous and others. Studying of the manuscript contributes to language research Czech legal texts of 15 . century. The manuscript is also important, because it became a source of Book of Municipal Law by M. Brikcí from Ličsko (1536) and the Municipal Law by Kristián Koldín (1579). Článek upozorňuje na staročeský překlad sbírky nálezů brněnsko-jihlavských, jehož lexikální hodnota spočívá v tom, že se zde vyskytují glosy a výklady jednotlivých slov, překlady německých a latinských termínů, staročeská terminologická synonyma aj. Studiujm rukopisu přispívá ke zkoumání jazyka českých právních textů z 15. století. Rukopis je důležitý též tím, že se stal zdrojem Knihy městských práv M. Brikcího z Ličska vydané r. 1536 a prostřednictvím této právní sbírky i Práv městských Kristiána Koldína z r. 1579. ProArc - Open Source Solutions for Digital Documents Production and Archiving

2015 - Czech ProArc – the production and archiving system is freely available tool for producing and editing descriptive, technical and administrative metadata to digitized and born digital documents. The system allows you to create import data for the Kramerius system. One of the outputs are PSP packages created according to NDK standards of the National Library. ProArc system has been developed by the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in collaboration with INCAD, which provides programming and analytical work. Since 2013, when the system was fully deployed in the Digitalization Centre of the Academy of Sciences Library, more than 400,000 pages of different types of documents have been processed . Currently, the system is also being implemented in other institutions. The archive section is being developed that will allow connection to the Archivematica system. ProArc will be presented from the perspective of the processor. ProArc system is one of the outputs of the Czech Digital Library project. The aim of the project is to create a single interface of digital libraries in the Czech Republic for end users and to provide data for international projects. The project is funded by the NAKI programme of the Ministry of Culture. Produkční a archivační systém ProArc je volně dostupný nástroj na výrobu a editaci popisných, technických a administrativních metadat k digitalizovaným i born digital dokumentům. Systém umožňuje vytvoření importních dat pro systém Kramerius. Jedním z výstupů jsou PSP balíčky vytvořené podle NDK standardů Národní knihovny. Na vývoji systému ProArc spolupracuje Knihovna AV ČR, v. v. i. s firmou INCAD, která zajišťuje analytické a programátorské práce. Od roku 2013, kdy byl tento systém plně nasazen v Digitalizačním centru KNAV, v něm bylo zpracováno více než 400 tisíc stran různých typů dokumentů. Systém začínají v současné době využívat i další instituce. Ve vývoji je archivační část, která umožní propojení na systém Archivematica. Příspěvek představí ProArc z pohledu zpracovatele. Systém ProArc je jedním z výstupů projektu Česká digitální knihovna. Cílem celého projektu je vytvoření jednotného rozhraní nad digitálními knihovnami v ČR pro koncové uživatele a poskytování dat pro mezinárodní projekty. Projekt je financován z programu NAKI Ministerstva kultury ČR. 2015 - Czech The Legal Theory Dpt. of the Institute of State and Law has been running and processing databases since 1985. Their primary purpose is the research and analysis of legal texts and legal language. In principle, they involve two projects: CS LEGSYS (the database of legal regulations, judicature and bill justification reports), and PES (Legal Electronic Vocabulary) – the database of doctrinal language (textbooks, comments and laws) complemented by a linguistic module for the analysis of law-related reference publications and their comparison with the general language. All relevant software tools for work with the Legal Electronic Vocabulary have been developed in cooperation with the Informatics Faculty of Masaryk University. V Ústavu státu a práva se v oddělení teorie práva zpracovávají databáze od roku 1985. Tyto báze primárně slouží pro potřeby výzkumu v oblasti analýzy právních textů a právního jazyka. V zásadě jde o dva projekty, které nazýváme CS LEGSYS – báze právních předpisů, judikatury a důvodových zpráv a PES (Právnický elektronický slovník) – báze doktrinálního jazyka (učebnice, komentáře a zákony) doplněná lingvistickým modulem pro analýzu právních korpusů a jejich srovnání s obecným základem jazyka. Pro práci s Právnickým elektronickým slovníkem byly ve spolupráci s Fakultou informatiky Masarykovy univerzity vyvinuty potřebné softwarové nástroje.
