Classification Methods for Brain-Computer Interface

2011 - anglický The performance of four classifiers for Brain Computer Interface (BCI) systems based on multichannel EEG recordings is tested in this work. The classifiers are designed to distinguish EEG patterns corresponding to performance of several mental tasks. Centralizované a decentralizované hodnocení kvality webových zdrojů

2011 - český Příspěvek se zabývá hodnocením kvality webových stránek. Zatímco klasické metody hodnotí stránky na základě nepřímých měr, článek v souvislosti se sémantickým webem navrhuje použít pro hodnocení obsah měr přímých založených na porovnávání dat prezentovaných zdroji. Příspěvek navrhuje takové centralizované a decentralizované míry a diskutuje jejich vlastnosti a použitelnost laickou veřejností. Použití takových měr je ilustrováno na reálných webových zdrojích prezentujících výsledky tenisových zápasů. The paper descries an approach using a reputation system to evaluate a quality of data provided by data sources on the Internet. The approach is designed to be fully distributed and experiments show that such approach can be used to simplify user decision about which source is more reliable. 2011 - český Článek poskytuje přehled o dostupných standardech HL7 a popisuje principy vývoje tohoto standardu. HL7 verze 2 je ve světě nejrozšířenější komunikační standard. Závěr je věnován úvahám o stavu užití standardů pro interoperabilitu systémů v Českém zdravotnictví a výhledu do budoucna. The article provides an overview of the available HL7 standards and describes the principles of development of this standard. HL7 version 2 is the most widely used communication standard in the world. The conclusion is devoted to reflection on the use of standards for interoperability of systems in the Czech health and to future prospects. Morphisms of Dempster's Semigroup: A Revision and Interpretation

2011 - anglický Analyzing three new approaches to interpretation, definition, and measurement of conflicts of belief Functions (BFs), we previously observed a possibility of expression of a BF Bel as Dempster's sum of non-conflicting BF Bel0 with the same plausibility decisional support as the original BF Bel has and of indecisive BF BelS which does not prefer any of the elements of frame of discernment. Based on this observation, the theory of homomorphisms of Dempster's semigroup (the algebra of non-extremal BFs on 2-element frame of discernment with Dempster's rule as its binary operation) is updated in the present contribution. New homomorphisms are introduced; their interpretation and relation to the original ones are presented. Biometrické zabezpečení dat v biomedicíne

2011 - český Tato práce analyzuje současný stav využití biometrie v počítačové bezpečnosti. Nabízí přehled nejčastěji používaných anatomicko-fyziologických a behaviorálních biometrických identifikačních metod. Výsledkem práce by měl být nový komplex metod, který umožní spolehlivou identifikaci uživatele co nejkomfortnější formou. Výsledná aplikace nových principů zabezpečení bude použita pro zvýšení ochrany specializovaného zdravotního záznamu. Dále dojde k rozšíření obecně pojatého konceptu EHR MUDR do další aplikační oblasti. The paper analyzes the current status of the use of biometrics in computer security. It offers an overview of the most commonly used anatomical, physiological and behavioral biometric identification methods. The result of the work should be a new complex of methods that will allow reliable identification of the user in the most comfortable way. The resulting application of new security principles will be used to increase the protection of specialized medical record. Furthermore, there is generally conceived to extend the concept of the EHR MUDR other application areas. We proposed a new estimator of measures of diversity and we studied a way to compare sensitivity to changes of different measures of diversity. The proposed estimator compares favorably to other well established estimators.
