Rheology is typical interdisciplinary science combining chemistry, physics and mechanics. It can be introduced to the program of high schools as an example of cooperation between individual sciences. The lecture gives basic principles of rheology and their application in everyday life. Reologie je typická interdisciplinární věda na rozhraní chemie, fyziky a mechaniky. Mohla by být využita ve výukovém programu středních škol jako ukázka spolupráce různých přírodních věd. Přednáška shrnuje základní principy reologie a jejich projevy v běžném životě.

Je uveden přehled materiálů a principů pro optické a elektrické uchovávání dat založených na fázové změně. Je diskutováno složení, struktura, vlastnosti a způsoby přípravy tenkých vrstev užívaných materiálů. Problémy rychlé krystalizace a amortizace a též problémy stability amorfních stavů a uchování při zvýšené teplotě je uvedeno. A review of materials and principles used in optical and electrical data storage based on phase changes is given, the composition structure, properties and the ways of preparation of thin films of the materials already used, or potentially applicable, are discussed. The problems of fast crystallization and amorphization as well as problems of stability of amorphous state and of the storage at elevated temperatures are mentioned.

The importance of the nanostructure co-continuity for a good performance of organic solar cells was demonstrated on two systems: (i) based on TiO2/polymer nanocomposite and (ii) polymer with crystallized low-molecular weight organic compound. Byly studovány dva systémy organických fotovoltaických článků: (i) s aktivní vrstvou z polymerního nanokompozitu polythiofen/TiO2 a (ii) plně organický polymerní nanokompozitní článek z polythiofenu s vykrystalizovaným nízkomolekulárním organickým plnivem.

On the base of DSC measurements of seeds with defined water activity was found, that radish seeds have lower amount of strongly bonded water that chives seeds. Na základě DSC měření semen s definovanou aktivitou vody bylo zjištěno, že semena ředkvičky mají menší množství silně vázané vody než semena pažitky.

Byl zkoumán vliv působení par organického rozpouštědla na fotovoltaické články tvořené .pi.-konjugovaným polymerem, poly[1-(4-trimethylsilylfenyl)-2-fenylvinylen]em, obsahujícím nízkomolekulární organickou příměs N,N'-di(pent-3-yl)-perylen-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximid)u. The influence of solvent vapor treatment on organic photovoltaic cells based on .pi.-conjugated polymer poly[1-(4-trimethylsilylphenyl)-2-phenylvinylene], and a low molecular-weight compound: N,N´-di(pent-3-yl)-perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) was investigated.
