Biodegradability of aromatic-aliphatic copolyesters

For testing the biodegradability of newly prepared aromatic-aliphatic copolyesters two methods were used – composting tests and specific extracellular activities of white rot fungi. Using both the tersts significant changes in copolyester structures were detected Testování biologické rozložitelnosti nově připravených aromaticko-alifatických kopolyesterů bylo ověřováno dvěma postupy: kompostovacím testem a sledováním vlivu specifických extracelulárních enzymatických aktivit hub bílé hniloby. V obou případech byly zjištěny změny ve struktuře kopolyesterů

A set of polyesteramides was prepared by anion copolymerization of E-caprolactam and E-caprolactone was prepared and their physico-chemical properties were tested. The effect of metals on formation of fruit bodies of several fungi was studied. Earlier formation of fruit bodies of Pleurotus ostreatus was found in the case of Mn, Cd, Cu, Fe and Zn. Práce sleduje vliv kovů na fruktifikaci hub. V případě směsi Mn, Cd, Cu, Fe a Zn byla zjištěna dřívější fruktifikace hlívy ústřičné (Pleurotus ostreatus).

Three genes of phenol-degrader Rhodococcus erythropolis involved in degradation of catechol and one gene coding for their activator were isolated and characterized.The obtained knowledge will contribute to construction of strains with more efficient phenol degradation. Byly izolovány a charakterizovány tři geny účastnící se degradace katecholu a jeden gen kódující aktivátor jejich exprese u kmene Rhodococcus erythropolis degradujícího fenol. Získané poznatky přispějí ke konstrukci kmenů s účinnější degradací fenolu.

In the course of the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus in nonsterile soil, soil bacterial community changes both quantitatively and qualitatively. The fungus decreases the diversity of bacterial populations during soil colonization stage. V průběhu růstu Pleurotus ostreatus v nesterilní půdě se mění půdní bakteriální společenstvo jak kvantitativně, tak kvalitativně. V průběhu kolonizace půdy houba snižuje diverzitu bakteriálního společenstva.
