2011 - Czech The aim of the Colloquium was to facilitate the exchange of up to date information and knowledge among specialists in solid mechanics. The main attention was focused on: continuum dynamics, impact and non-linear phenomena, crack propagation, constitutive models, dynamics of linear and non-linear systems, identification, chaos, vibrations, interaction of mechanical systems and fluids, modern computational mechanics and experiments. Cílem kolokvia bylo usnadnit výměnu nejnovějších informací a poznatků mezi odborníky v oblasti mechaniky tuhých těles. Hlavní témata kolokvia byla tato: dynamika kontinua, rázy a nelineární jevy, šíření trhlin, konstitutivní modely, dynamika lineárních a nelineárních systémů, identifikace, chaos, vibrace, interakce mechanických systémů a tekutin, moderní výpočetní mechanika a experimenty. 2009 - Czech Conference Water Jet 2009 - Research, Development, Application, which is organized by the Department of material disintegration of the Institute of Geonics of the ASCR, v. v. i., is the first meeting of producers, users, designers and other people interested in technology of high speed water jet in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the conference is to provide forum for exchange of knowledge, information and experiences in areas of research, development and application of water jet. Although the conference was originally intended as a more or less local meeting of experts from the Czech Republic, a number of foreign participants proves that this issue is very attractive far beyond the borders of the CR. Problems solved in contributions are very diverse: they range from basic research through traditional and less traditional application of technology in practice to reflection on the impact of the current economic crisis on job shops. Konference Vodní paprsek 2009 - výzkum, vývoj, aplikace, která je organizována Oddělením desintegrace materiálů Ústavu geoniky AV ČR, v. v. i., je prvním setkáním výrobců, uživatelů, tvůrců a zájemců o technologii vysokorychlostního vodního paprsku v České republice. Hlavním cílem konference je poskytnout fórum k výměně názorů, informací a zkušeností v oblastech, které se týkají výzkumu, vývoje a aplikace vysokorychlostních vodních paprsků. I když byla konference původně koncipována jako víceméně lokální setkání odborníků z České republiky, množství zahraničních účastníků jen dokazuje, že tato problematika je velmi atraktivní i daleko za hranicemi ČR. Okruhy řešené v příspěvcích jsou velmi rozmanité: od základního výzkumu přes tradiční i méně tradiční aplikace technologie v praxi až po zamyšlení nad dopady současné ekonomické krize na zakázková pracoviště. Pevně věřím, že toto setkání obohatí všechny zúčastněné o nové poznatky, které později uplatní ve svém profesním životě.
