2007 - English The 25th Mustelid Colloquium was held in Třeboň, Czech Republic, on 4-7 October 2007. The meeting was organized by Czech Otter Foundation Fund, Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection of the Czech Republic, and the Institute of Vertebrate Biology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Nearly 100 participants from 21 countries presented 45 talks and 28 posters dealing with all European mustelid species, except the marbled polecat. The main topics included distribution and demography, monitoring and assessment techniques, road mortality, conservation and management, genetics, habitat use, diet, and behaviour. Within the colloquium, also the workshop „How to assess the conservation status of otters in context of EU legislation?“ took place. Ve dnech 4.-7. října 2007 se v Třeboni (ČR) konalo 25. mezinárodní kolokvium o lasicovitých šelmách. Setkání bylo organizováno Českým nadačním fondem pro vydru, Agenturou ochrany přírody a krajiny ČR a Ústavem biologie obratlovců AV ČR. Konference se zúčastnilo téměř 100 účastníků z 21 krajin, kteří prezentovali 45 přednášek a 28 posterů zabývajících se všemi evropskými druhy z čeledi lasicovité, kromě tchoříka skvrnitého. Hlavními tématy byly rozšíření a demografie, monitoring a výzkumní metody, silniční mortalita, ochrana a management, genetika, využívání prostředí, potravní ekologie a etologie. V rámci kolokvia se uskutečnil také workshop „Jak hodnotit stav populací vydry říční v kontextu legislativy EU?“. Contributions to Soil Zoology in Central Europe II, Proceedings of the 8.sup.th./sup. Central European Workshop on Soil Zoology
2007 - English The proceedings of the 8.sup.th./sup. Central European Workshop on Soil Zoology involves papers based on the lectures and posters presented at the meeting held in České Budějovice on April 20-22, 2005. In total 42 contributions reflect different aspects of soil zoological research, e.g. taxonomy, ecology and biology of soil fauna, physiology of soil invertebrates, the impact of human activities on soil fauna etc. Sborník z 8. středoevropského půdně zoologického workshopu obsahuje články vycházející z přednášek a plakátových sdělení prezentovaných na konferenci, která se uskutečnila v Českých Budějovicích 20.-22. dubna 2005. Celkem 42 příspěvků odráží různé aspekty půdně zoologického výzkumu z oblasti taxonomie, ekologie a biologie půdní fauny, fyziologie půdních bezobratlých, vlivu lidské činnosti na půdní faunu atd. 2006 - English The additional proceedings summarizes contributions presented during Final COST C11 Seminar held at České Budějovice 2nd - 4th of December 2004. Conclusions of working groups WG 1A Ecology, WG 1B Human issues, WG 2 Policies were presented, evaluated and finally discussed. The examples of European cities green structures were extended by (new) experience of the České Budějovice particular conditions. The nowadays greenstructure utilization, interaction with users, planning, management and future development are discussed, including important instruments and challenges.
