Application of mica based pigments

Properties of sandwich pigments based on mica coated with metal oxide layers are described. Various mica types were characterized and used for pilot plant scale synthesis of pigments. Paints containing this kind of pigments were formulated and tested anticorrosive coatings. Synthesis and characterization of some thermally stable pigments based on mixed metal oxides is also described. Popsána syntéza bariérových pigmentů na bázi slídy, pokryté oxidy kovů. Charakterizovány různé typy slídových nosičů a syntetizovány vzorky pigmentů i v poloprovozním měřítku. Byly formulovány nátěrové hmoty s využitím těchto pigmentů a charakterizová fyzikální i ochranné vlastnosti nátěrových hmot. Dále byly syntetizovány některé směsné oxidy s cílem jejich aplikace jako termostabilní pigmenty. Keywords: pigments; mica Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Nanosized particles of oxides and oxide-hydroxides of Mg, Al, Ti and Fe were prepared from organic precursors and by homogeneous precipitation of aqueous solutions. The oxide-hydroxides were dried using the 'Critical point drying' method and were characterized by SEM, TEM, electron diffraction, XRD and also by methods of thermal analysis. Z organických prekursorů a cestou homogenního srážení byly připraveny nanočásticové oxidy a hydroxidy Mg, Al, Ti a Fe. Hydroxidy byly zpracovány metodou sušení nad kritickou teplotou a charakterizovány pomocí elektronové mikroskopie a difrakce, změření specifického povrchu, práškovou rentgenovou difraktometrií a termickou analýzou. Crystallization of ammonium aluminium alum

The report deals with the research and development of the process for production of extra pure ammonium aluminium sulphate by crystallization from solution. The distribution of contaminants (Na, K, Fe, Si, Ca, Cr, Mg, Ti, Ga, Mn, Zn, Co, Pb a Cu) between the crystalline phase and solution was determined for two initial concentrations of ammonium aluminium sulphate and for two final crystallization temperatures. The effect of recrystallization of ammonium aluminium sulphate and the effect of the excess of ammonium ions upon the product purity was investigated. V rámci výzkumu a vývoje technologie výroby vysoce čistého krystalického síranu amonno-hlinitého krystalizací z roztoku byla stanovena distribuce kontaminantů (Na, K, Fe, Si, Ca, Cr, Mg, Ti, Ga, Mn, Zn, Co, Pb a Cu) mezi krystalickou fází a roztokem - pro dvě výchozí koncentrace roztoku síranu hlinitoamonného a pro dvě konečné teploty krystalizace. Dále byl stanoven vliv rekrystalizace síranu hlinitoamonného a vliv přebytku amonných iontů na obsah kontaminantů. Pre-restoration materials research of the painting is based on microscopic (both optical and electron) analyses of grounds and painting layers in the cross sections of fragments with the aim to identify pigments and to describe the stratigraphy of re-nts involving to choose the suitable restoration procedure. Other methods (e.g. microchemical and histochemical tests) are used for identification of binding media. Materiálový průzkum malby v rámci restaurátorského zásahu využívá zejména metod optické a elektronové mikroskopie a mikroanalýzy fragmentárních příčných řezů barevných vrstev k identifikaci pigmentů a popisu stratigrafie přemaleb, což přispívá ke správné volbě restaurátorského postupu. Další, zejména mikrochemické a histochemické, metody jsou použity k identifikaci pojiv. 295 Research and development of the process for production of extra pure ammonium aluminium sulphate, where the concentration of contaminants does not exceed 0.3 ppm for Ca, Co, Cr, Fe, Mg, Mn, Pb, Si, Ti, Zn, 2.0 ppm for Ga and Na and 3.0 ppm for K. Preparation of ammonium aluminium sulphate (alum) solution by dissolution of aluminium hydroxide in sulphuric acid solution and by addition of ammonia. Purification of alum by crystallization and recrystallization. Výzkum a vývoj technologie výroby vysoce čistého krystalického síranu amonno-hlinitého, kde koncentrace kontaminantů Ca, Co, Cr, Fe, Mg, Mn, Pb, Si, Ti, Zn nepřevýší 0,3 ppm, Ga a Na 2,0 ppm a K 3,0 ppm. Příprava roztoku síranu hlinitoamonného (kamence) rozpouštěním hydroxidu hlinitého v kyselině sírové a následnou amoniakalizací. Čistění kamence krystalizací a rekrystalizací. Hydroxyl (OH.), nitroxide (NO.)and stable organic free radicals were identified and determined in samples of beer. The maximum of their concentration is 5-10 min. after the opening of bottle. The influence of UV irradiation and hydrogen peroxide is de Ve vzorcích byly identifikovány a stanoveny hydroxylové (OH.), nitroxidové (NO.) a stabilní organické radikály. Koncentrace těchto radikálů vykazuje maximum po 5-10 min. od otevření láhve. Je popsán vliv UV ozařování a vliv peroxidu vodíku.
