Hydroacoustic assessment of the fish stock in Lake Balaton in 2019.

The presented report summurizes results of hydroacoustic surveys in Lake Balaton, including both littoral and open-water regions in all three basins of the lake. The report is describing the spatial distribution and size-composition of the fish stock in Lake Balaton in autumn 2019. The results are presented in terms of fish density, biomass and fish size distribution for particular hydroacoustic transects and lake basins. In the report are summarized all available data from previous hydroacoustic surveys and the development of fish stock is discussed. Předkládaná zpráva sumarizuje výsledky hydroakustického průzkumu jezera Balaton. Průzkum zahrnoval litorální i pelagické habitaty v rámci všech 3 částí jezera. Zpráva popisuje prostorovou distribuci a velikostni slozeni rybi obsádky jezera Balaton na podzim 2019. Výsledky jsou prezentovány jako hustota ryb, jejich biomasa a velikostní složení pro jednotlivé transekty hydroakustického průzkumu i souhrně pro jednotlivé části jezera. Zpráva také shrnuje veškerá dostupná data z předchozích průzkumů jezera a diskutuje vývoj obsádky jezera Balaton.

The fauna of cambioxylophagous insects on Scots pines at selected localities in the Czech republic

The report summarizes information on cambioxylophagous fauna of Scots pine at selected localities in central Bohemia, Vysočina region and south Moravia. Economic importance of detected species in relation to forest protection is broadly discussed. The report includes comparative tests of pheromone traps baited with dispensers of various producers against bark beetle pests of Scots pines. Zpráva shrnuje informace o složení podkorní fauny borovice lesní na lokalitách ve středních Čechách, na Vysočině a na jižní Moravě. Diskutován je zejména hospodářský význam jednotlivých druhů. Zpráva obsahuje i test odchytových zařízení na bázi feromonových odparníků různých výrobců.

The report summarizes the results of toxicity tests of various bioinsecticides and their field applications to spruce trees via microinjections to protect stands against the spruce bark beetle, Ips typographus. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky laboratorního výzkumu toxicity vybraných biolátek s insekticidním účinkem a terénního výzkumu jejich aplikace do stromů metodou mikroinjektáže s cílem ochrany porostů proti lýkožroutu smrkovému, Ips typographus.

The focus of the study is to document the effect of chloride toxicity on aquatic organisms (macrophytes, aufwuchs, macrozoobenthos, fish and amphibians) in recipients around the D8 motorway, km 48.276 - 64.689, where the motorway passes through the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. The summary of the achieved results for the vegetation season 2019 is the content of the presented report. Předmětem studie je dokumentovat vliv toxicity chloridů na vodní organismy (makrofyta, nárosty, makrozoobentos, ryby a obojživelníci) v recipientech v okolí dálnice D8 km 48,276 – 64,689, kde dálnice prochází CHKO České středohoří. Sumarizace dosažených výsledků za vegetační sezónu 2019 je obsahem předkládané zprávy.

Report from the demonstration catching of water bodies in the public forest park Stromovka

The aim of the study was to demonstrate fishing using various sampling methods, practical determination of fish species and other aquatic animals for students of the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice within the course Field Practice II. The main purpose was to demonstrate the use of fishing methods to detect fish communities. The obtained results, including their evaluation, are included in the report. Cílem odlovu byla ukázka lovu ryb za použití různých lovných metod, praktické určení druhů ryb a dalších ulovených vodních živočichů pro studenty Přírodovědecké fakulty Jihočeské univerzity v Českých Budějovicích v rámci kurzu Terénní praxe II. Hlavním účelem byla demonstrace použití lovných metod, používaných pro zjištění rybích společenstev vodních těles. Zjištěné výsledky včetně jejich hodnocení jsou obsahem zprávy.

Hydrobiological monitoring of Medard lake in 2019

Presented report summarizes the results of hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake in 2019 and recommends further monitoring actions. The year 2019 was the second year after the lake was filled, when no more water from the Ohře River was filled and only small tributaries from the small river basin flowed into the lake. Thus, the ecosystem of the lake has reached a final state in terms of hydrological regime and nutrient load, characterized by very low water exchange, low trophic levels with low productivity of planktonic communities, development of submerged macrovegetation in coastal zones and specific seasonal changes in chemistry and biological parameters. Předkládaná zpráva sumarizuje dosažené výsledky za rok 2019 a navrhuje doporučení pro další sledování. Rok 2019 byl druhým rokem po naplnění jezera, kdy se již žádná voda z Ohře nenapouštěla a do jezera přitékaly pouze drobné přítoky z vlastního malého povodí. Ekosystém jezera se tedy dostal z hlediska hydrologického režimu a živinového zatížení do konečného stavu, pro který je typické velmi malá obměna vody, nízká úroveň úživnosti s nízkou produktivitou planktonních společenstev, rozvoj ponořené makrovegetace v příbřežních zónách a specifické sezónní změny chemismu i biologických parametrů.

Zpráva shrnuje informace o letových schopnostech klikoroha borového a jejich změnách v průběhu vegetační sezóny. Mimo laboratorních experimentů na letových mlýncích obsahuje i výsledky terénního mark-recapture experimentu.
