Study of elemental composition of PM10 and PM2.5 aerosols and street dust was performed in two different seasons and at two urban sites in the Czech Republic. Two localities with different potential sources were chosen for the identification of aerosol sources. Bylo provedeno studium elementárního složení PM10, PM2.5 a pouličního prachu pro dvě roční období a ve dvou městech v České republice. Pro identifikaci zdrojů aeroslů byly zvoleny lokality s různými potencionálními zdroji.

Seasonal variation in concentrations of metals and ions in urban aerosol in Brno and Šlapanice

Urban aerosol particles in the size fraction PM1 were collected in Brno and Šlapanice in winter and summer of 2009 and 2010. Aerosols were analysed for ions and metals. Local traffic in summer and coal and wood combustion during household heating in winter were identified as the main emission sources of aerosols in both towns. Secondary aerosol components formed a significant part of aerosol during the whole year. Částice městského aerosolu ve velikostní frakci PM1 byly vzorkovány v Brně a Šlapanicích v zimě a létě 2009 a 2010. Aerosol byl analyzován na obsah iontů a kovů. Místní doprava v létě a spalování uhlí a dřeva v rámci vytápění domácností v zimě byly identifikovány jako hlavní emisní zdroje aerosolů v obou městech. Složky sekundárního aerosolu tvořily významnou část aerosolu v průběhu celého roku.

Determination of heavy metals (Pb, Cu and Cd) in solid energetic waste (loge ash, ash, scoria) was performed according to Tessier. Extraction proceeded at temperatures of 25°C and 40°C and metals were determined using atomic absorption spectrometer (F AAS and ET AAS). Stanovení těžkých kovů (Pb, Cu a Cd) v pevných energetických odpadech (popílek, popel, škvára) pomocí Tessierovy extrakce na atomovém absorpčním spektrometru. Extrakce probíhaly při teplotách 25°C a 40°C.

The main target of this work was further improvement of detection limits in the method of arsenic speciation analysis of tri- and pentavalent human metabolites in complex biological matrices. The method combines selective hydride generation with preconcentration and subsequent separation of substituted arsines in a cryogenic trap.

V příspěvku jsou srovnávány hmotnostní koncentrace polyaromatických uhlovodíků, hopanů a steranů v Brně a Šlapanicích ve dvou ročních obdobích (zima a léto). Dále se příspěvek zabývá identifikací emisních zdrojů aerosolů na těchto dvou lokalitách.
