The aim of the methodology is to prepare ways in which the information of narrative sources on material monuments can be used. It is based on making the edited text accessible, obtaining the information contained in it and incorporating it into the network of information obtained elsewhere, which it then uses as part of tools enabling the comprehension of the text and for its indexing. Cílem metodiky je připravit cesty, jakými lze využívat informace narativních pramenů o hmotných památkách. Je založena na zpřístupnění editovaného textu, získání informací v něm obsažených a jejich začlení do sítě informací získaných jinde, které pak využívá v rámci nástrojů umožňujících pochopení textu i pro jeho rejstříkování.

The methodology was created for the processing of card indices of past scholars, especially those containing topographical and prosopographical (genealogical) entries. The content of the card indices shall be processed in the way enabling the entries to be sorted according to various criteria and linked to other electronic sources. The digitised (scanned) images of the original cards are also stored. Byla vytvořena metodika pro zpracování kartoték badatelů minulosti, které obsahují zejména topografické a prosopografické (genealogické) údaje. Obsah kartoték je zpracováván tak, aby bylo možné informace třídit podle různých kritérií a dále je napojovat na další elektronické informační zdroje. Zároveň je uchováván digitalizovaný obraz původního kartotéčního lístku.
