Contemporary spiritual situation of men and women – empirical study

An investigation of spirituality was focused on students of Czech universities of different specializations. To this aim, an original questionnaire of spirituality (Říčan, Janošová) was constructed. Factor analysis indicated five independent factors that were labeled as factor of transcendental monotheism, mysticism, ecological, factor of connectedness and of moral enthusiasm. Analysis of variance indicated that men and women are spiritually affected with different subjects and their spiritual experience is determined with different contexts. Výzkum spirituality byl zaměřen na studenty českých vysokých škol různých oborů. Za tímto účelem byl vytvořen originální dotazník spirituality (Říčan, Janošová). Faktorová analýza naznačila přítomnost pěti nezávislých faktorů, jež byly označeny jako faktor transcendentálně monoteistický, mystický, eko-spirituální, faktor sounáležitosti a morálního entuziasmu. Analýza variance naznačila, že muži a ženy jsou spirituálně oslovováni odlišnými tématy a že jejich spirituální zkušenost je různě situačně determinována.

Eye movements in information acquisition – methodological view

Most information, which we use in our lives, was first acquired by vision. The vision is not a passive receptor simply registering the pieces of information in the environment, but it also involves a selection mechanism. We can investigate this process with eye trackers and estimate, which pieces of information the subject knew and which attracted him. This report introduces these methods and their possibilities in cognitive psychology. Většina informací, se kterými pracujeme, byla nejdříve získána zrakem. Je známo, že zrak není pasivní receptor, který zaznamenává vše v okolí, ale již při vnímání dochází k selekci informací. Současné metody sledování očních pohybů nám dovolují tyto procesy sledovat a odhadovat, které informace pozorovatel znal a které jej zaujaly. Příspěvek představuje možnosti využití těchto metod v kognitivní psychologii.

Specifity of the spirituality of men and womwn may be - from the standpoint of depth psychology - analyzed on the basis of archetypically anchored versions of mutual relationship as it appears, e.g., in the story of Amor and Psyche. The study analyses several such possibilities. Specifičnost ženské a mužské spirituality může být z hlediska hlubinné psychologie analyzována na základě archetypálně zakotvených variant vzájemného vztahu, jak se jeví například v příběhu Amora a Psyché. Referát analyzuje několik takových možností.

Research as narrative reconstruction

Contribution represents an attempt to reflect!what we do in narrative research\\". For this aim, narrative pespective, which consists in comprehension of narrative construction as a mode of giving the meaning to experience, is discussed. After this, narrative data(first of all the autobiographical interviews) are specified as a partial, contextual expression of structuring tje experience. Futher, the mthod of narrative research, which consists of reconstructing the making of the meaning by narrative means, is characterized. In frame of this process, researcher attempts to grasp, reveal and acent the structures of giving the meaning to experience as the structures constructed by narrative means. In this theoretical and methodological frame of reference, a set of categories, which can serve as a conceptual schema in the process of narrative reconstruction of meaning, are discussed. Příspěvek je pokusem reflektovat \\"co děláme v narativním výzkumu\\". Za tímto účelem je nejprve tematizována narativní perspektiva, spočívající v chápání narativní konstrukce jako způsobu \\"dávání významu\\" zkušenosti.Poté jsou specifikována data narativní povahy(především autobiografické rozhovory), jako určitý, kontextuální výraz strukturace zkušeností. Dále je charakterizován postup narativního výzkumu spočívající v rekonstrukci způsobu vytváření významu narativními prostředky. V rámci tohoto postupu se výzkumník snaží uchopit, předvést a zvýraznit struktury \\"dávání významu\\" zkušenosti, jako struktury narativně konstruované. V takto nastoleném teoreticko-metodologickém rámci je pojednána řada kategorií, které mohou sloužit jako pojmová osnova při narativní rekonstrukci významu.

Some perspectives of qualitative research: software for analysing qualitative data

The author deals with problems of choosing and using software for analysing qualitative data. He mentions the hopes, fears and fantasies connected with new technologies, the ways of using computers in qualitative research, and the reasons for using software for analysing qualitative data. He presents the types of software for analysing qualitative data including some examples. He sums up the recommendations for using software in qualitative research. In the conclusion, the author asks the question of the impact of software on qualitative research and brings some examples in this field. Autor se zabývá problémy výběru a užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Zmiňuje se o nadějích, obavách i nereálných představách spojených s novými technologiemi, probírá způsoby využití výpočetní techniky v kvalitativním výzkumu a důvody pro užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Uvádí typy počítačových programů(software) pro analýzu kvalitativních dat, včetně konkrétních příkladů. Shrnuje doporučení pro užívání počítačových programů v kvalitativním výzkumu. Závěrem klade otázku vlivu těchto programů na kvalitativní výzkum a uvádí některé příklady z této oblasti.
