Architectures of Digital Self-adaptive Systems

The article concerns with a self-adaptation in digital circuits. The text includes the definition of the the SANE concept which directly uses the principles of the self-adaptation, a basic description of the SVP model which provides a computing representation in the SANE. In the text is a basic description of the UTIA HW platform (the SANE implementation) which was complemented with a job scheduler. The experiments with the job scheduler was described. Článek se zabývá samoadaptací v číslicových obvodech. V textu je uvedena definice konceptu SANE, který samoadaptaci přímo využívá, a základní popis modelu SVP, který řeší reprezentaci výpočtu v konceptu SANE. Jsou zde uvedeny dostupné platformy pro implementaci SANE konceptu. Jednou z nich je UTIA HW platforma. Ta byla rozšířena o plánovač úloh a byly s ní provedeny první experimenty.

Architecture of System for Dynamically Reconfigurable Communication Terminal

This paper describes possibilities of computing architecture implementation for dynamic data path generation for stream computation. An application example for this computing architecture is implementation of communication terminal described in this paper. The computing architecture is implemented on FPGA circuits supporting dynamic reconfiguration. FPGA functionality can be fully or partially changed during runtime when part of FPGA is static and part dynamic. Reconfiguration process is controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor could be implemented in FPGA static part (soft processor) or using an external integrated circuit. Tento článek popisuje možnost implementace architektury výpočetního systému, který by umožňoval dynamicky vytvářet datové cesty s výpočetními uzly, a realizovat tak aplikace pro proudové zpracovávání dat. Příkladem aplikace pro proudové zpracování dat je implementace vysílacího a přijímacího řetězce komunikačního terminálu, na kterou je zaměřen následující text. Architektura je realizována pomocí obvodu FPGA, který umožňuje dynamicky měnit svojí funkci za běhu – pomocí tzv. dynamické rekonfigurace. Funkce obvodu může být měněna úplně nebo jen částečně, kdy je část obvodu statická a část dynamická. Rekonfigurace je řízena softwarově pomocí programu řídícího mikroprocesoru, který lze implementovat ve statické části obvodu FPGA („Soft“ procesor) rovněž lze využít jakýkoliv jiný procesor připojený k obvodu.

Monitoring network system SAVO

Target of this project is creating of the functional alert system for network attacks named SAVO (Secure AV Outbound). This system is dedicated for AV (Academy of Sciences of the Czech republic) network. Informations which obtained from monitoring (analysis) will be aviable for responsible ICT departments. Cílem projektu je získat automaticky fungující systém výstrahy sledující kybernetické útoky s puvodem v adresním prostoru Akademie ved Ceské Republiky SAVO (Secure AV Outbound). Informace získané analýzou provozu mezi sítí AV CR a nástražným systémem umožní informovat zodpovedná pracovište o potenciálním nebezpecí.

The control of distributed-parameter systems has always been a very active topic with applications in many areas. Also the last few years, in particular, have seen developments in associated technology which have a direct impact on actual implementation. In particular, there have been massive developments in the design and implementation of very high quality sensors and actuators and also the associated costs are dropping. As a result, it is now feasible to consider using arrays of sensors and actuators in the control of spatially distributed systems. To make development of new methods easier, a new Simulink block was made representing a plant and a controller. During simulation other Simulink blocks, e.g., Random number, input signals, etc. can be used. Řízení systémů s rozloženými parametry je stále živé téma s aplikacemi v mnoha oblastech, mj. v adaptivní optice a lékařství. Pro usnadnění výzkumu nových metod pro řízení systémů s rozloženými parametry byl do prostředí Simulink vytvořen nový blok pro simulaci, který numericky řeší parciální diferenciální rovnici popisující chování simulovaného objektu. Na podobném principu byl vytvořen i blok představující regulátor. Při simulacích uzavřené smyčky lze využívat dalších simulinkových bloků jako jsou vstupní signály, náhodný signál ap.

Control of systems with distributed parameters is still active topics with applications in many areas e.g. adaptive optics and medicine. New block for simulation of deformable mirror was made. Řízení systémů s rozprostřenými parametry je stále živé téma s aplikacemi v mnoha oblastech, mj. v adaptivní optice a lékařství. Pro usnadnění výzkumu nových metod pro řízení systémù s rozprostřenými parametry byl do prostředí Simulink vytvořen nový blok pro simulaci chování deformovatelného zrcadla. Vytvořený blok numericky řeší parciální diferenciální rovnici popisující chování simulovaného objektu. Na podobném principu je založen i blok představující regulátor. Při simulacích uzavřené smyčky lze využívat dalších simulinkových bloků jako jsou vstupní signály, náhodný signál ap.
