The report summarizes results of fish monitoring in Bolevecky pond using electrofishing device. Simoutaneously, the abundance of unfavorable fish species in terms of water quality were decreased. Futher recommendation for fish management and the need for future surveys were stated. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky průzkumu rybí obsádky Boleveckého rybníka v roce 2023 pomocí elektrického agregátu. Zároveň proběhlo odstranění nežádoucích druhů ryb s ohledem na kvalitu vody v rybníce. Sumarizace dosažených výsledků a návrh doporučení pro další sledování jsou obsahem předkládané zprávy. Design analysis of the heat exchanger between the primary and the intermediate circuits of the small modular reactor DAVID

The report summarizes the joint results of the Department of Nuclear Reactors FNSPE, CTU and IT CAS, in the area of thermal and hydraulic calculations of the heat exchanger between the primary and intermediate circuits of the developed small modular reactor (SMR) DAVID. The assignment parameters were further specified during control days and with updated documentation. During the analysis of the initial system parameters, it was found that the original geometric configuration of the exchanger had a completely insufficient surface for heat transfer. A decision was made, several parameters were modified and based on a series of calculations using two independent simplified models, a reasonable configuration with a significantly smaller diameter of the tubes in a significantly larger number was chosen. The pressure losses on both sides of the heat exchanger are within normal ranges and will not cause problems with the construction of these circuits. Although there are differences between the results from both used models, their comparison shows that the chosen different calculation methods lead to approximately the same results and the models do not show fundamental errors. The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of biological samples with the intention of describing morphological features for species classification. As part of the collaboration, chemical preparation of the samples was carried out, followed by observation of the bodies of the nematodes themselves in different positions so that individual morphological characters could be distinguished using an electron microscope. Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza biologických vzorků se záměrem popsat morfologické znaky pro druhovou klasifikaci. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena chemická příprava vzorků, následovalo pozorování těl samotných hlístic v různých pozicích tak, aby bylo možné rozlišit jednotlivé morfologické znaky pomocí elektronového mikroskopu. The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of microbiological samples with biotechnological significance with the intention of describing the ultrastructure of the cells, which depends on the cultivation conditions of the industrial process. The collaboration included cryogenic preparation of samples, followed by microbial microscopy using low-temperature electron microscopy (cryo-SEM), and selected samples were processed for transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Furthermore, spectroscopic measurements were performed using Raman spectroscopy. Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza mikrobiologických vzorků s biotechnologickým významem se záměrem popsat ultrastrukturu buněk, která se odvíjí od kultivačních podmínek průmyslového procesu. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena kryogenní příprava vzorků, následovalo mikrobů pomocí elektronového mikroskopu za nízkých teplot (cryo-SEM), vybrané vzorky byly zpracovány i pro transmisní elektronovou mikroskopii (TEM). Dále byla provedena spektroskopická měření pomocí Ramanovy spektroskopie. The contractual research was oriented towards the development of optical frequency references intended for the frequency stabilisation of ultra-compact laser sources. These optical references were based on absorption cells filled with ultra-pure absorption gases and they allow precise locking of the lasers with the methods of laser spectroscopy. The cells will serve as the references of optical frequencies in systems of primary length standards (633 nm wavelength). Smluvní výzkum byl zaměřen na vývoj referencí optických kmitočtů pro frekvenční stabilizaci kompaktních laserových zdrojů. Tyto optické reference jsou založena na bázi absorpčních kyvet plněných čistými plyny a dovolují stabilizaci laserových zdrojů pomocí metod laserové spektroskopie. Kyvety jsou určené k použití jako reference optických kmitočtů pro laserové normály pracující v pásmu vlnových délek 633 nm.
