2023 - Czech The report summarizes the results of a comprehensive survey of the fish population of the Lipno reservoir in 2023. The goal of the ichthyological survey of the lake was to map the state and development of the fish population, with an emphasis on estimating the abundance and biomass of individual fish species, on estimating the risks of further development of the fish community and recommending further management of the reservoir. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky komplexního průzkumu rybí obsádky nádrže Lipno v roce 2023. Cílem ichtyologického průzkumu jezera bylo zmapování stavu a vývoje rybí obsádky zejména s důrazem na odhad početnosti a biomasy jednotlivých druhů ryb, na odhad rizik dalšího vývoje rybího společenstva a doporučení dalšího obhospodařování nádrže. Evaluation of the issue of protection of populations of large bivalves at the Lipno Reservoir, including a survey of localities of their possible occurrence

The results of the conducted survey and the evaluation of the issue of the protection of large bivalve populations in the Lipno Reservoir with regard to the planned drop in water level are the content of this report. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky průzkumu lokalit VD Lipno s možností výskytu velkých mlžů a zhodnocení vlivu manipulace s vodní hladinou na výskyt velkých mlžů. Supporting grassland biodiversity through small-scale fallows

2023 - Czech The main goal of the methodology presented here is to propose a system of recommendations for applying fallow in nature conservation based on our experiments. Due to the independence of agricultural land outside specially protected areas with direct payments from the Ministry of Agriculture, it is currently important to apply the methodology, especially in large protected areas where the primary objective is to preserve natural and cultural heritage. Annual and perennial fallows, i.e. biotopes adapted toregular soil disturbance, offer suitable habitats for a number of now-threatened plant and animal species. This is a technically and economically easy solution, but it is challenging to select a suitable location to achieve maximum efficiency. Ploughing must not be used in species-rich grasslands which would lead to ruderalization and degradation of the native vegetation. Furthermore, it must not be carried out on land at risk of erosion. Linear grassland margins, which have been ploughed in the past, recently grassed fields, fallows, and field margins should be selected for fallow management. Nearby populations of invasive plant species can be a problem. Our recommendations for the use of fallow management relate primarily to land in lowland and upland areas with a lower soil nutrient supply. Hlavním cílem předkládané metodiky je na základě experimentů s úhorovým managementem navrhnout systém doporučení pro aplikaci maloplošné orby v ochraně přírody. Vzhledem k provázanosti zemědělské půdy mimo zvláště chráněná území s přímými platbami Ministerstva zemědělství (MZe) je v současné době důležité uplatnění metodiky zejména ve velkoplošných chráněných územích, kde je záchrana přírodního a kulturního dědictví primárním cílem. Jednoleté i víceleté úhory, tj. biotopy adaptované na pravidelné narušování povrchu půdy nabízejí vhodná stanoviště pro řadu dnes ohrožených druhů rostlin i živočichů. Jedná se o technicky i ekonomicky snadné řešení, pro maximální efektivitu je však obtížné zvolení vhodného stanoviště. Orba nesmí být použita v druhově bohatých travních porostech, kde by došlo k ruderalizaci a degradaci původní vegetace. Dále nesmí být prováděna u erozně ohrožených pozemků. Vybírány by měly být liniové okraje travních porostů, které byly v minulosti orané, tj. nedávno zatravněná pole, úhory, okraje polí. Problémem mohou být blízké populace invazních druhů rostlin. Naše doporučení k využití úhorového hospodaření se primárně vztahují na pozemky s nižší zásobou živin v půdě v nížinách a pahorkatinách. Feasibility study: Hg removal technology using electrochemical methods - large unit and its comparison with alternative technology

2023 - Czech In the introductory chapters, an introduction to the technology for Hg capture from combustion processes using electrochemical methods (membrane electrolyzer)and the design of a unit with capacity applicable to a typical power plant unit was made. This technology has not fully demonstrated its effectiveness from laboratory tests in semi-operational trials. These findings have been taken into account in the design of the unit for a larger power plant, therefore the design considers the use of more units in parallel, which places demands on the built-up space. The number of units used and the size of the built-up area is then matched by the high cost of the investment. Although this is a technology that does not consume any chemicals or sorbents - only electricity - it is an investment and operationally expensive technology, as can be seen from the comparison with alternative technologies. A comparison of the investment costs and cumulative expenditure (investment, reinvestment, maintenance and operating costs) for the electrochemical technology with electrolyzer and the two alternative technologies shows that if the economic aspect alone is the decisive criterion for the choice of technology, the technology of dosing Na2S solution into the scrubber absorber solution for flue gas treatment clearly comes out best at current prices. V úvodních kapitolách bylo provedeno seznámení s technologií pro záchyt Hg ze spalovacích procesů pomocí elektrochemických metod (membránový elektrolyzér), návrh jednotky kapacitně použitelné pro typický elektrárenský blok. Tato technologie při poloprovozních zkouškách plně neprokázala účinnost z laboratorních testů. Tyto poznatky byly zohledněný při návrhu jednotky pro větší elektrárenské zařízení, proto je v návrhu uvažováno s použitím více \nparalelně řazených jednotek, což klade nároky na zastavěný prostor. Počtu použitých jednotek a velikost zastavěného prostoru pak odpovídá i vysoká cena investice. Jedná se sice o technologii, která nespotřebovává žádné chemikálie ani sorbenty – pouze elektrickou energii, ale jedná se o technologii investičně i provozně nákladnou, jak plyne ze srovnání s alternativními technologiemi. Ze srovnání investiční nákladů a kumulovaných výdajů (investice, reinvestice, údržba a provozní náklady) pro technologii na základě elektrochemické metody s elektrolyzérem a dvě alternativní technologie je patrné, že pokud bude rozhodujícím kritériem pro volbu technologie pouze ekonomické hledisko, vychází jednoznačně při současných cenách nejlépe technologie dávkování roztoku Na2S do pracího roztoku absorbéru pro čištění spalin.\n Keywords: electroseparation technology; mercury; flue gas; wet desulfurization Available on request at various institutes of the ASCR Feasibility study: Hg removal technology using electrochemical methods - large unit and its comparison with alternative technology

2023 - Czech The methodology summarizes the principles of the habitat conservation of several butterflies - Phengaris arion, Parnassius apollo and Colias myrmidone, species specialized to dry grasslands, rock screes and similar habitats, under different scenarios of climate change. Maps of future climatically suitable habitats are included, together with an analysis of the possibilities of assisted colonization. Metodika shrnuje zásady péče o stanoviště modráska černoskrvnného (Phengaris arion), jasoně červenookého (Parnassius apollo) a žluťáska barvoměnného (Colias myrmidone), specializovaných druhů suchých trávníků, skalních drolin a podobných stanovišť, s variantami pro různé scénáře klimatické změny. Součástí jsou mapy budoucích klimaticky vhodných stanovišť, spolu s rozborem možností asistovaných kolonizací.
