Role of reference materials in chemical analysis

Choice and use of reference materials in chemical analysis and its role in establishing traceability of results is discused. New definition of reference meterials and their impact is presented. Přednáška pojednává o výběru a použití referenčních materiálů v chemické analýze a při zajišťování návaznosti výsledků. Jsou uvedeny i nové definice referenčních materiálů a jejich důsledky.

Pre-restoration materials research of the painting is based on microscopic (both optical and electron) analyses of grounds and painting layers in the cross-sections of fragments with the aim to identify pigments and to describe the stratigraphy of re-paints involving to choose the suitable restoration procedure. Other methods (e.g. infrared spectroscopy or MALDI-TOF) are used for identification of binding media. Materiálový průzkum malby v rámci restaurátorského zásahu využívá zejména metod optické a elektronové mikroskopie a mikroanalýzy fragmentárních příčných řezů barevných vrstev k identifikaci pigmentů a popisu stratigrafie přemaleb, což přispívá ke správné volbě restaurátorského postupu. Další mertody, zejména infračervená spektroskopie a MALDI-TOF, jsou použity k identifikaci pojiv.

Bubble distribution in Channels with glass melt

The analysis of the melting process provides some non-traditional opportunities when intersifying the main homogenization processes. Pro zavádění nových způsobů tavení existují v současnosti dvě základní cesty např. homogenizace skloviny nebo změna typu či uspořádání ohřevu. Dále je nutné analyzovat proces a nalézt optimální podmínky jednotlivých dílčích dějů.

Bubble removing during glass melting may be a slow process if only the gravitatiuonal force determines its rate. This wwork brings derivation of relations governing the one and multicomponent bubble behavior in a rotating cylindr. Pro odstraňování bublin je jejich separace od skelné taveniny důležitější než jejich případné ozpouštění. Tato práce přináší základní vztahy řídící chování bublin v rotujícím válci se skelnou taveninou .

Redox equilibria of sulphur in glassmelts

The combination of experimental and computational methods used for the study of redox equilibria of sulphur in glassmelts makes possible to reveal mechanism and time sequence of redox phenomena taking place during melting process. Both methods were applied for the optimization of sc. reducing sulphate refining realized by the addition of sulphate and reducing agent to the glass batch. The results of experiments supported by the model calculation showed that proper combination of both components at the same time improves homogenization and refining of glass melt and suppresses unwanted bubble nucleation at maximal melting temperatures. Chemické čeření zprostředkované přídavky několika typů čeřicích činidel je dosud nejběžnějším způsobem odstrańování bublin z tavenin skel. Mezi čeřicími činidly používanými v současnosti hrají významnou roli sírany alkalických kovů či kovů alkalických zemin, které jśou téměř výhradně používány pro čeření základních průmyslových tzpů sodnovápenatokřemičitých skel - plochého, obalového a ve značné míře i užitkového.
