Drawing-up and verification of conditions for joint large-scale data acquisition by means of hyperspectral and multispectral imaging technology

Project "Drawing-up and verification of conditions for joint large-scale data acquisition by means of hyperspectral and multispectral imaging technology" is focused on building up knowledge base for joint data acquisition of various datasets from one airborne carrier. Sensor CASI-1500 was used for high spectral resolution data acquisition (hyperspectral). Sensor UltraCam Eagle was used for high spatial resolution data acquisition(multispectral). Utilization of synthesis of both datasets was investigated during duration of project. Utilization was investigated for various conditions and ecosystems. Alongside with project investigation resulted acquired data to unique dataset, which could be used for future research projects. Projekt "Vypracování a ověření podmínek pro společný velkoplošný sběr dat hyperspektrální a multispektrální technikou" je zaměřen na získání poznatků a zkušeností pro pořizování různých datových sad z jednoho leteckého nosiče. Pro hyperspektrální data vysokého spektrálního rozlišení byl využit sensor CASI-1500. Pro multispektrální data vysokého prostorového rozlišení byl využit senzor UltraCam Eagle. V průběhu projektu byla zkoumána užitečnost vzájemné syntézy těchto dat za rozdílných podmínek a pro různé ekosystémy. Zároveň byla vytvářena unikátní datová sada využitelná i v dalších vědeckých projektech.

Predictability of wind famrs operated by Amper-Market company

This report contains an analysis of the electric energy production of wind power plants of the company Amper Market a.s. from the point of view of its predictability, with the main objective of determining the potential accuracy of hourly predictions of the power production. To calculate the analyzed predictions a regression forecasting model utilizing wind speed and direction in two height levels is used. The necessary values of these meteorological variables are obtained from three numerical weather prediction models – Aladin, EPS Aladin and IFS. The accuracy of the energy production predictions is optimized regarding the choice of suitable geographical points for obtaining outputs of the numerical models, the combine utilization of the models and individual setting of the regression model for the single power plants. The analysis was performed based on data from the period January 2013 to April 2014. Tato zpráva obsahuje analýzu produkce elektrické energie větrných elektráren společnosti Amper Market a. s. z hlediska její prediktability, s hlavním cílem určení potencionální přesnosti predikcí hodinových hodnot výroby energie. Pro výpočet analyzovaných predikcí je použit regresní předpovědní model využívající rychlost a směr větru ve dvou výškových hladinách. Potřebné hodnoty těchto meteorologických prvků jsou získány ze tří numerických předpovědních modelů - Aladin, EPS Aladin a IFS. Přesnost predikce výroby je optimalizována z hlediska výběru vhodných geografických bodů pro získání výstupů numerických modelů, z hlediska kombinovaného využití těchto modelů a z hlediska individuálního nastavení regresního modelu pro jednotlivé elektrárny. Analýza byla provedena na základě dat z období leden 2013 až duben 2014.

The summary research report created in contracted cooperation with ECOTOXA s. r. o. provides mathematical modelling of climate data in the South Moravian Region and 5 selected river-basins, and evaluates anticipated climatic conditions based on 5 selected Global Circulation Models for two emission scenarios and the period from 2021 to 2040. A proposition of a complex monitoring with a demonstration of its implementation in the South Moravian Region with an involvement of both expert and non-specialist respondents is also included. Souhrnná výzkumná zpráva vypracovaná v rámci smluvní spolupráce se společností EKOTOXA s. r. o. popisuje matematické modelování klimatických dat na území Jihomoravského kraje a 5 vybraných povodí a vyhodnocuje očekávané klimatické podmínky na základě 5 vybraných globálních cirkulačních modelů (GCM) pro dva emisní scénáře a období 2021-2040. Současně je zahrnut návrh komplexního monitoringu a ukázka jeho realizace pro území Jihomoravského kraje včetně zapojení respondentů z řad odborné i laické veřejnosti.

Aim of airborne campaign NPŠ (National Park Šumava) 2015 was acquisition of georefernced hyperspectral datasets of (1) whole area National park Šumava and (2) selected sites in sufficient spatial and spectral (VNIR) resolution. Settings both datasets was adapted for use in subsequent applications. Cílem letecké kampaně NPŠ (Národní Park Šumava) 2015 bylo vytvoření georeferencovaného hyperspektrálního snímku (1) celého území národního parku a (2) vybraných zájmových lokalit v dostatečném prostorovém a spektrálním (VNIR) rozlišení využitelném pro následné aplikace managementem NPŠ.

The object of the hyperspectral campaign Photomap 2015 was the use (application) remote sensing on the locations under depossition from mining industry. The client requested scan of 62 flight lines covering the area of 52 locations. Data acquisition was performed during three days (7. - 9. August 2015). The atmospheric condition over acquisition flight enabled to acquire data, which will be perfectly usable for application in environmental science. Abstrakt Účelem hyperspektrální kampaně Photomap 2015 bylo využití (aplikace) dálkového průzkumu na lokalitách s ekologických zátěží v důsledku důlní těžby. Kampaň byla složena z 62 letových linií, které pokrývají území 52 lokalit stanovených zadavatelem. Akvizice dat byla provedena v průběhu tří dnů od 7.8. do 9.8.2015 a to v při atmosférických podmínkách zajišťujících pořízení dat, které bude možno vhodně využít pro studium ekologických zátěží na dané lokalitě.

Document elaborated on the basis of contractual cooperation with EKOTOXA s. r. o. for the Ministry of Environment deals with the climate change on a national scale, and presents an overview of relevant professional activities and approaches in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. It analyses the impact of predicted climate change scenarios for each of the priority areas of interest, while also dealing with the economic impacts on different sectors and quantification of the financial costs of inaction. It also contains an estimate of costs for the implementation of adaptive devices and evaluate their effectiveness. Dokument zpracovaný na základě smluvní spolupráce se společností EKOTOXA s.r.o. pro Ministerstvo životního prostředí se zabývá změnou klimatu v národním měřítku a předkládá přehled relevantních odborných aktivit a přístupů v ČR a středoevropském regionu. Analyzuje dopady predikovaných scénářů změny klimatu na jednotlivé prioritní oblasti zájmu, přičemž se zabývá také ekonomickými dopady na jednotlivé sektory a vyčíslením finančních nákladů v případě nečinnosti. Dokument dále obsahuje odhad nákladů na realizaci adaptačních opatření a zhodnocení jejich efektivnosti.

The requested site was scanned by airborne hyperspectral sensor AISA Eagle (Spectral Imaging Ltd.) during the two days of the growing season. Hyperspectral data were adapted for the analysis of surface water quality in selected reservoirs. Ground measurements of the reflectance of special targets surfaces were done using field spectroradiometer (FieldSpec4 from ASD, Inc.). These measurements were used to optimize the atmospheric correction. The resulting georeferenced mosaic of hyperspectral data had spatial resolution of 5 m and the spectral resolution of 2.5 nm. The image mosaic provides true information about the reflectance of a water body on both reservoirs. Požadovaná lokalita byla nasnímána hyperspektrálním leteckým sensorem AISA Eagle (Spectral Imaging Ltd.) v průběhu dvou dní vegetační sezóny. Hyperspektrální data byla uzpůsobena pro analýzy kvality povrchových vod ve vybraných reservoárech. Pro optimalizaci atmosférických korekcí bylo provedeno pozemní měření reflektance speciálních povrchů (FieldSpec4 from ASD, Inc.). Výsledné georeferencované hyperspektrální mosaiky o prostorovém rozlišení pixelu 5m a spektrálním rozlišení 2.5nm obsahují informaci o reflektanci vodního tělesa na obou nádržích.

The main interest was to map a drainage system in an agricultural landscape. For this purpose airborne hyperspectral imaging sensor (CASI), which operates in the visible spectral region, was chosen. CASI (ITRES Inc. Canada) is an essential part of Flying Laboratory of Imaging Spectroscopy (FLIS) operated by the Center for global change research AS CR, v. v. i. Image acquisition was carried out during the growing season 2014, in the high spatial resolution (0.5 m) containing spectral information within 48 bands in the range 400-1000 nm. Scanned data were georeferenced in the UTM WGS84 33N map projection, radiometrically and atmospherically corrected. Therefore, the reflectance is without of the influence of the atmosphere and the resulting image is fully usable for required analyzes Hlavním zájmem v prostoru snímané lokality byla determinace melioračních opatření v zemědělsky užívané karajině. Pro tento účel bylo zvoleno snímkování leteckým hyperspektrálním senzorem citlivým ve vidiltelné oblasti spektra – CASI (ITRES) instalovaným v letecké laboratoř obrazové spektroskopie laboratoři (FLIS) provozované Centrem pro výzkum globální zmeny AV ČR, v. v. i. Akvizice zájmového prostoru byla provedena v průběhu jednho dne vegetační sezóny 2014 a to ve vysokém prostorovém rozlišením (0.5 m) obsahující spektrální informaci ve 48 bendech v rozpětí 400 – 1000 nm. Nasnímaná data jsou georeferencována v UTM WGS84 33N a radiometricky i atmosfericky korigována. Výsledná reflektance je tudíž zbavena vlivu atmosféry a výsledný obraz je plně využitelný k dalším analýzám.
