In the paper is described an activity focused on developing some geometric skills, such as modelling and representing three-dimensional objects, and communication skills in the teaching of geometry. V článku je popsána aktivita zaměřená na rozvoj některých geometrických dovedností,jako jsou modelování a zobrazování trojrozměrných objektů a komunikačních dovedností ve vyučování geometrii.

Contribution is based on the samples of reflections (selfreflections) and collective reflections of teachers starting point is belief that the cultivation of selfreflection and systematical realisation of collective reflection can change character and improve quality of mathematics education. Příspěvek je založen na příkladech reflexí,(sebereflexí) a kolektivních reflexí učitelů. Vychází z přesvědčení, že kultivace učitelovy sebereflexe a systematické provádění kolektivní reflexe může změnit charakter a zvýšit kulturu matematického vzdělání.

The contribution is based on analysis of several video-tapes of mathematics lessons. It is shown how the group of elementary teachers understands and evaluates their competences in the course of preparation, realisation and assessmentseveral teaching experiments. Improvement of their subject-didactical competence is outlined. V příspěvku je ukázáno, jak skupina učitelů-elementaristů chápe a hodnotí své kompetence v průběhu přípravy, realizace, analýzy a hodnocení několika vyučovacích experimentů. Je naznačen růst oborově-didaktické kompetence učitelů. Podkladem pro napsání článku jsou videozáznamy vyučovacích hodin.

A short survey of standard fast methods for the solution of algebraic systems arising when solving elliptic boundary value problems. It is shown how these methods can be used for the solution of more general problems. AAll polygons and tetrahedra are found where boundary problems can be transformedby reflection and solved with fast methods. V článku je stručný přehled standardních rychlých metod pro řešení soustav vzniklých při numerickém řešení eliptických okrajových úloh. Je stručně ukázáno, jak tyto metody použít k řešení obecnějších úloh. Jsou nalezeny všechny polygony a čtyřstěny, na nichž lze okrajové úlohy řešit pomocí rychlých metod.

The laws of geometric sampling objects in 2D and 3D are presented and discussed. Objektem statistického hodnocení bývají stále častěji data popisující objekty nejrůznějšího druhu rozmístěné v prostoru. Předmětem zkoumání jsou jednak objekty samotné, resp. jejich prostorové rozmístění, jednak jejich vnitřní struktura, rozmístění jejích komponent příp. jejich interakce.

A short elementary description of the problems of computing complexity for nonspecialists. On simple examples the number of arithmetic operations (determining the speed of the computation) is considered and possible ways of its reduction are shown. E.g. the dyadic reduction that is used to the construction of FFT. Práce pojednává o krátkém základním popisu problémů výpočetní složitosti pro neodbornou veřejnost. Na jednoduchých příkladech je vzato číslo aritmetických operací (vymezující rychlost výpočtu) a možné cesty jeho redukce jsou ukázány. Např. dyadická redukce, která je použita k sestavení FFT.
