The article estimates long-term trends of 14C quantity in the atmosphere. Influencing from fossil fuel combustion on radiocarbon activity level in the environment is reported too. Příspěvek se zabývá odhadem dlouhodobého trendu obsahu 14C v atmosféře. Je zde rovněž diskutován vliv spalování fosilních paliv na aktivitu radiouhlíku v životním prostředí.
