Hudba z objektivního stroje. Lidová hudba a fonograf

2013 - Czech Zvukový záznam začal hrát od konce 19. století významnou roli v mnoha oblastech lidského života. Nejvýrazněji se vliv této technologie projevil v oblasti hudebního průmyslu, kdy s vynálezem a rozšířením Edisonova fonografu přišla na svět nová forma konzumace hudby. Vedle toho ovšem tento vynález ovlivnil i sféru vědy. Obor dnes zvaný etnomuzikologie se začal formovat přibližně v téže době, kdy se objevil fonograf, a lze říci, že bez tohoto přístroje by etnomuzikologie nikdy nebyla tím, čím je v současnosti. Možnost zachytit prchavý hudební projev, opakovaně jej přehrávat a zkoumat otevřela vědcům cestu k analytickému uchopení hudebních kultur celého světa bez omezení systémem evropského notového zápisu. Zároveň ovšem zvukový záznam přinášel různá omezení i nebezpečí zkresleného chápání zvukových pramenů a také nasměroval uvažování o hudbě k určitým stereotypům, s nimiž se pak po velkou část 20. století etnomuzikologie vyrovnávala. V českých zemích se povědomí o technické novince šířilo poměrně brzy mezi laickou veřejností i v akademických kruzích, praktické využití v oblasti dokumentace tradiční hudební kultury v období před první světovou válkou však bylo poměrně řídké. Ty zvukové dokumenty, které se dochovaly, byly zveřejněny teprve v posledních desetiletích. Sound recording began to play a more important role in many areas of human life from the end of the 19th century. The influence of this technology was manifested the most significantly in the area of music industry, where a new form of music consumption was born with the invention and spreading of Edison’s phonograph. In addition, however, this invention influenced the sphere of science as well. The field called ethnomusicology now started to form in approximately the same time that the phonograph appeared, and it may be said that without this device ethnomusicology would have never been what it is today. The possibility of capturing the elusive musical expression, play and study it over and over again, opened a path for scientists to grasp the music cultures of the whole world without being limited by the system of European music notation. At the same time, however, sound recording brought various limitations as well as the danger of a distorted perception of sound sources, and directed the speculations of music towards certain stereotypes, with which ethnomusicology was then coping for a large part of the 20th century. In the Bohemian Lands, the awareness of the technical novelty spread relatively soon among the lay public as well as in the academic circles, but its practical application in the area of the documentation of traditional music culture in the period before World War I was relatively rare. The sound documents that have been preserved were not published until the last decades. 2013 - Czech The goal of our study is to thematize and then discuss the dilemmas involved in doing field research. Dilemmas and uncertainty arise from the fact that the social scientist does not stand “outside” the world of the actors being studied, but is an integral part of it. Ethnographic field research is an instrument for achieving deeper knowledge about cultures; and the legitimization of the key attributes of anthropology/ethnology. Qualitative field research meanwhile encompasses a number of theoretical, epistemological, and methodological themes, approaches, and positions. An analysis of its value, including the qualitative collection of data and its epistemological underpinning, is the subject of this study. 2013 - Czech Ještě v 1. polovině 20. století byly hygienické poměry na českém venkově na poměrně nízké úrovni. Pokusem o nápravu se stala v roce 1939 veřejná soutěž vypsaná Ministerstvem školství a národní osvěty za účelem získání architektonických studií a návrhů řešení. Even in the first half of the 20th century hygienic conditions in the Czech countryside is at a relatively low level. In an attempt to remedy became in 1939 a public competition organized by the Ministry of Education for the purpose of obtaining architectural studies and design solutions.
