Proceedings of the Colloquium DYNAMICS OF MACHINES AND MECHANICAL SYSTEMS WITH INTERACTIONS (DYMAMESI), that was held in the Institute of Thermomechanics in Prague, November 25 - 26, 2014 deal with problems structural and multibody dynamics, in coupled interacting systems as aero-elasticity, hydro-elasticity, biomechanics, systems with feedbacks and mechatronics. The published papers was divided into the two parts: Interactions - vibration of dynamic systems coupled with surroundings, mechanical systems with feedbacks, mechatronic active elements, measurement methods and identification in interaction problems, interactions in biomechanics, aero- and hydro-elasticity in rotational engines (bearings, blades, sealings, spaces), analytical and numerical methods in solutions of interactions and Dynamics of Machines - dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and solids, non-linear systems - stability, bifurcations, chaos, damping technologies - materials, active elements, methods, identification, vibrodiagnostics, fatigue, computational mechanics and experiments.

Selected results on theoretical and experimental fluid mechanics research at academic institutes, universities and other research and development establishments are presented in Colloquium Fluid Dynamics 2014 Proceedings. Seventeen contributions refer to the flow equations solutions, numerical calculations, flow visualization, investigations of shear flows dynamics, laminar turbulent transition, visualization in superfluid 4He, aerodynamic testing of supersonic blade cascades, fluidic oscillator etc.

ITAT 2014. Information Technologies - Applications and Theory. Part I. Prague : Institute of Computer Science AS CR, 2014. 101 p. ISBN 978-80-87136-18-8. This volume is the first part of the two-volume proceedings of the 14th conference Information Technologies – Applications and Theory (ITAT 2014). The conference was held in Jasná, Demänovská Dolina, Slovakia, on September 25–29, 2014. ITAT is a computer science conference with the primary goal of exchanging information on recent research results between Czech and Slovak scientific communities, and it presents a platform for young researchers and PhD students to start new collaborations. This year, it was held in parallel with two collocated conferences Datakon and Znalosti with which it shared some invited plenary talks and a poster session. Overall, 51 papers were submitted to all conference tracks. This volume presents 16 papers of the main track, which were selected by the program committee based on at least two reviews by the program committee members. Papers from the three workshops and extended abstracts of posters are included in the second volume.

Cílem kolokvia bylo usnadnit výměnu nejnovějších informací a poznatků mezi odborníky v oblasti mechaniky tuhých těles. Hlavní témata kolokvia byla tato: dynamika kontinua, rázy a nelineární jevy, šíření trhlin, konstitutivní modely, dynamika lineárních a nelineárních systémů, identifikace, chaos, vibrace, interakce mechanických systémů a tekutin, moderní výpočetní mechanika a experimenty. The aim of the Colloquium was to facilitate the exchange of up to date information and knowledge among specialists in solid mechanics. The main attention was focused on: continuum dynamics, impact and non-linear phenomena, crack propagation, constitutive models, dynamics of linear and non-linear systems, identification, chaos, vibrations, interaction of mechanical systems and fluids, modern computational mechanics and experiments.

9th International Conference on Charged Particle Optics. Book of Abstracts

The series of conferences on charged-particle optics was launched in 1980 by Hermann Wollnik together with the late Karl Brown and myself in an attempt to bring together the three main CPO communities, accelerator optics, spectrometer optics and electron optics. All three groups were pleased and somewhat surprised to discover how much they had in common, and it was decided to continue to meet at regular intervals. The fact that so many contributions have been submitted to this ninth meeting shows that the formula is as attractive as ever and the organisers have succeeded in producing a balanced programme with much original material in each of the domains of interest. Brno is well known for major contributions to software for CPO and for low-voltage scanning electron microscopy. There have been exciting developments in all the areas covered by the conference. In electron optics, the successful implementation of aberration correctors for electron microscopes has dominated the literature for the last few years but other aspects of the subject have not been neglected; a session is devoted to ion optics. The optics of accelerators and mass and energy spectrometers is likewise providing many surprises. These proceedings provide a unique snapshot of the world of charged-particle optics in 2014.
