Supported Liquid Membranes for Hollow-Fibre Based Microextraction and Voltammetric Determination of Neuroblastoma Biomarkers
Josypčuk, Bohdan; Barek, J.; Josypčuk, Oksana
2018 - English
A new type of tubular detector (TD+AuxE) was proposed, fabricated, tested and compared\nwith a typical silver amalgam tubular detector developed earlier. Non-stop-flow differential\npulse voltammetric anodic stripping method (AS-DPV) and amperometric method in a\nglucose oxidase biosensor arrangement were tested. Both detectors were applied for AS-DPV\nmeasurements in flow systems for the first time. The proposed combination of tubular\ndetector with auxiliary electrode provides a much greater current response than the classic\narrangement with three individual electrodes. All relevant parameters (potentials of\naccumulation or detection, flow rate, analyte concentrations, shielding sleeve length, etc.)\nwere optimized for the developed TD+AuxE. Keywords: Flow analysis; Amperometry; Voltammetry Available at various institutes of the ASCR

2018 - English
A new fast and highly efficient capillary electrophoretic (CE) method has been developed for chiral analysis of non-charged gem-difluorinated alcohol (3-(benzyloxy)-1,1-difluoro-propan-2-ol) using sulfobutylether-β-CD as chiral selector. The method was applied for monitoring of enzymatic (lipase mediated) enantioselective acetylation of the above alcohol and for determination of enantiomeric purity of both substrates and products of the enzymatic reaction. Keywords: enantioselective acetylation; difluorinated alcohols; capillary electrophoresis Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Transport Biofuels and Their Perspectives.
Kaštánek, František; Maléterová, Ywetta; Hanika, Jiří; Kaštánek, P.; Šolcová, Olga
2018 - English
There are discussed already applied procedures or procedures verified in pilot scale and only in laboratory scale. Essentially, transport biofuel technologies can be considered: Hydrolysis and fermentation of lignocelluloses to lower alcohols, transesterification of oils, production of liquid biomass pyrolysis product, so called bio-oil as the main product in addition to bio-coal and pyrolysis gases, gasification to produce synthesis gas followed by catalytic production of gasoline and naphtha hydrocarbons\n(Fischer-Tropsch synthesis), transformation of a system of chemical compounds obtained from bio-oil into hydrocarbons by catalytic hydro deoxygenation and /or hydrocarbons obtained directly from the biomass by catalytic hydro deoxygenation. Keywords: biofuels; transport; pilot scale Available in a digital repository NRGL

Hydroscopic Behaviours of Ammonium Sulfate/Organic Mixtures Including Dicarboxylic Acid and Oligomer.
Bouzidi, Hichem; Zuend, A.; Ondráček, Jakub; Schwarz, Jaroslav; Ždímal, Vladimír
2018 - English
Here, the hygroscopic behavior of submicron particles composed of ammonium sulfate (AS), dicarboxylic acids (including oxalic acid (OA), malonic acid (MA)), and oligomer Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG-300 (-CH2OCH2-)n) is investigated with a Hygroscopicity Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer (HTDMA), under relative humidity (RH) below 100%. The aerosol systems were varied in their complexity and ranged from single-component to more complex systems (2, 3 and 4 components). The experimental data are compared with predictions from Zdanovskii-Stokes-Robinson (ZSR) mixing rule (Stokes and Robinson, 1966) and the thermodynamic model Aerosol Inorganic-Organic Mixtures Functional groups Activity Coefficients (AIOMFAC) (Zuend et al., 2011). Keywords: aerosol particles; hydroscopicity; modeling Available in a digital repository NRGL

Původ znečištění ovzduší na základě ročního měření PM2.5 a PM10 na dvou městských pozaďových stanicích v Praze.

2018 - Czech
The objective of this study was to determine air pollution origin in Prague based on the chemical composition of 24h atmospheric aerosol (AA) samples collected in parallel for one-year at two suburban sites. Chemical analysis of PM2.5 and PM10 for elements by ICP-MS, for elemental and organic carbon by thermo-optical method and water-soluble inorganic ions by IC was performed. The AA in Prague air shed was well mixed and nine common PM10 sources of local, urban, regional and long range transport (LRT) origin were apportioned. Keywords: chemical composition; local contamination; positive matrix factorization Available in a digital repository NRGL

Cloud Processing of Atmospheric Aerosol Spectra.
Zíková, Naděžda; Pokorná, Petra; Pešice, Petr; Sedlák, Pavel; Ždímal, Vladimír
2018 - English
Atmospheric aerosol (AA), and its influence on the cloud formation, lifetime and other properties, remains the most uncertain (with low confidence level) element in the IPCC radiative forcing estimations (Stocker et al., 2013). The AA, however, is influenced by the cloud processing as well (Collett et al., 2008., Zíková and Ždímal, 2016). Cloud processing of AA (and vice versa) can be described on fogs, or on low clouds present at a suitable station. An example of such a station is Milešovka, where fog is present for almost 55 % of the time (Fišák et al., 2009), giving a great opportunity to explore the changes in the particle size distributions due to the cloud processing. Keywords: atmospheric aerosols; fog; SMPS Available in digital repository of the ASCR

Kinetic Modeling of the Catalytic Hydrogenation of Nitrile Esters to Amino Esters.
Lali, Farzad; Stavárek, Petr; Ujčić, Massimo; Laube, Marek; Devaux, J.-F. D.; Dubois, J.-L. D.
2018 - English
The catalytic hydrogenation of nitrile esters to amino esters was studied.Amino-esters are alternative monomers to produce these polymers. The hydrogenation of nitrile ester was performed in a stirred tank reactor. The mixing of the fluids was carried out using a gas induction stirrer with a hollow shaft. An appropriate amount of ammonia has to be dissolved into the reaction mixture in order to avoid side or consecutive reactions, whereas the starting material nitrile ester was diluted by applying methyl-cyclohexane as solvent. The influence of the amount of dissolved ammonia and the hydrogen solubility in the reactants and in the chosen solvent were considered in this study. A reaction mechanism is proposed a mathematical model, which describes the proposed reaction mechanism of intermediate species and products was proposed for this hydrogenation reaction. The data were fitted using the least square method and the relevant kinetic rate constants were determined. Keywords: kinetic modeling; hydrogenation; nitrile ester-11 Available in a digital repository NRGL
